Food Saver bags? Single meals in a bag?

I saw someone mention in one post that they froze individual meals (pasta) in bags to just toss into water to defrost/reheat all at once? Did they mean food saver bags?

So am I missing out here - can you use food saver bags as a 'meal in a bag' type thing where you can then drop it in boiling water to heat up that item in the bag?

If so, what type of foods do you do this with?

Thanks, and hope my question makes sense. I hadn't thought of using the food saver bags like this and now wonder if it is possible!

I've never used mine like this, I suppose you could...I usually just let mine defrost and reheat my pasta....in the sauce...works like a charm, but I am going to see about the boil and bag method. I don't see why not some people put the bags in dishwasher.

Aha! It was Katt42(something else I forgot already - so embarassing! Sorry!) on this thread - you can freeze just about anything..... is there anything you SHOULDN"T freeze? who mentioned it. I wonder if it is only some bags or if it is any foodsaver type bag that is ok to do this with?
