i didn't but my bff did. we had babies at the same time and she kept track of how much bleach, cloth diapers, energy to run the washer and all the good stuff it took to have cloth diapers. i kept track of how much i spent on disposable diapers with all the great deals i found on here and i came out on top! WAY on top!! just keep your eyes peeled on here. i stumbled across a few amazing deals on here and when the surfaced i hit them BIG TIME! i had more than enough diapers by the time dd was born, to last her whole diaper/pull up career.

I did not with this child but am considering it if we ever have another. I am hoping she will be out of diapers before that happens but one never knows.

I have to agree cloth diapers is NOT the way to go, took #1 too much time with more than one little one, and then also the cost of laundry soap, bleach, running the washer. And there is ALWAYS a store with diaper deals. I have also heard from a friend, she called pampers and told them how she had more than one in diapers and they sent her coupons frequently!Good luck!

I do. I have cloth diapered all 4 of my children. I have bought less than 25 packs of diapers total for all kids, more with my youngest who is 6 mos. What saved me the most money was I used the same diapers through all 4. I had an initial investment of around $100 for flat diapers and nylon pull on covers. They were the cheapest route, and they last the longest. At one point I had 3 in diapers full time. The amount of detergent you are supposed to use to prevent buildup is 1-2 tbsp. so a bottle of detergent can last about a year. On a side note, I have been using disposables for almost 5 days straight, the longest I have EVER used disposables consecutively. With the Wags diaper deal I just got, I might be using them for a while .

I do and I LOVE it! I made an initial investment of under $200 and she will use the diapers until she is potty trained. I plan on saving them in case we ever have another baby. My water bill is $1-2 more per month. I buy detergent online once every few months. I spend VERY LITTLE time washing/folding the CD's. It's not like I stand by the machine and watch them get washed, . It takes me 15 minutes total between washing/drying/folding the diapers. I think CDing is one of the most important things I did for my child. She is not constantly exposed to the chemicals in disposable diapers and we've never had a problem with a blow out or diaper rash. There are TONS of great websites to check out for information. Also, there are TONS of styles of CD's out there now. You can do a trial from a website like Jilliansdrawers.com so you can try the different styles and see what works best for you and your child. Then you can make the investment. Please feel free to PM me for more info or ask here. Good luck!

I am not using cloth and I have 2 in diapers. I have thought long and hard about this topic and to me it just isn't worth it. I guess if you want to be "green" then it is a good thing. But I am not. I would want to do it to save money but since I save on diapers all the time I don't think it is worth it to me. the time and energy to have to wash diapers... lets face it I barely can get our laundry done. got luck on finding the right solution for your family.
