DVDONME worked for me a few minutes ago, you can use it 1x per credit card. I live in Canada, wish that we had Red Box there, Currently in VeroBEach, FL, so we just discovered Red Box, very convenient, around the corner at the 7-Eleven.

You will need to select "Rent a DVD" and then you can scroll through the list. Once you press on the movie you want to select to rent, there will be a button at the bottom of the screen that says "Add promo code" Push on that and then it will give you a keyboard to type in the promo code. Click accept after you enter the promo code and then it will take you to the screen where you must swipe a debit or credit card. Even for the free ones, you must swipe it in case you don't bring it back after the first night, they will charge you $1 for each additional night.

The cool thing is for each card you swipe with a different #, you get a free DVD so if you have 3 cards, use them!

I love redbox. We use it all the time and rarely even go to a video rental place anymore. They send you promo codes all the time for free movies plus you can go online and reserve a dvd if you want to ensure it is there waiting for you.

I've found out DVDKROG code works ONLY at redbox kiosks at Kroger stores. Tried it at WM kiosks and got the message that it doesn't work at that location.

as to prepaid rebate Visa/MC cards,

YES, they work and each card can be used for the free codes.

For those of you traveling this summer. You can rent redbox from one location and return to another. We do this all the time, rent in TX, watch as driving, once done, stop at next town, drop off and pick up, all the way to CO.

Sure wish they had movies in the car when I was a kid!

Redbox has a new sweepstakes going on starting today and running through Sept. 30th. to celebrate their 1 billionth rental!

When you rent a dvd, there is a code that you enter online. When you enter your first code, it says that you will get a promo code for 1 free rental. I assume that would work for each credit card that you use to rent. The code you enter also automatically enters you into the contest for a chance to win either a $500 gift card (I can't remember what kind of gift card it is now), a trip to LA for two to see a People Choice Award or a Sony home entertainment package.

Personally, I am just excited about the free rental code! You can also enter by snail mail without having to rent.

No prepaid cards wont work. They say because you may not have a balance and they cannot charge you if you don't bring it back after the first night.

I've been using Visa and MC prepaid cards that came from beer companies and they have always worked.

I use them especially for free codes since they don't get charged. But even for the those that I have to pay, they still go through as long as the balance on my card is over $1.

I am assuming that if we use a free rental code to rent the dvd, we will still get the free contest code online since the dvds have a code for entering online in order to get another freebie code. Does that make sense at all? I have a code from the Wags Pepsi deal. I am thinking if I use it to rent the dvd, then I enter the dvd code on Redbox's site, I will get another code from them for a free rental.
