Last week when I went to my local Food Lion (Winston-Salem, NC) I was told that they are no longer going to be accepting online coupons due to alot of fraud at this store, so I called the corporate office and made a complaint. The store manager called me back and said that they will accept online coupons as long as they scan. Today when I went the store the manager was called over by the cashier and I was told that all on-line coupons would be accepted that scan with an exception they are not allowing coupons from afullcup.com. Does anyone know why? Are the coupons not legit? Is anyone else having this same issue?

Nope, never heard that at all. And how would they know if a coupon is from AFC?!? It's not like there's an AFC stamp on them!

I was wondering the same thing........... I didnt think there was any way to tell where the coupon came from, furthermore I have printed multiples from the food lion site itself.

The only problem I could imagine FL has with AFC is that the FLIP e-mailed only allow you to print one of each. Our coupon generator lets you print as many as you want.

I still don't know how they'd know though, you're only allowed to use one of each per transaction anyway!!

Remember that computer systems can be very smart and can link lots of stuff together. I would imagine that they are beginning to link your MIP card with the coupons you use - especially the FL store coupons. Also, I would expect that corporations (CVS, FL, Walgreens, etc.) have technology staff that is constantly on the alert for the bzz on the internet about their store. That is a way to keep their "ear to the ground" so to say.

I would imagine, too, that FL and Target are fully aware of AFC's existence and the fact that there are coupons for "their store" on the coupon generator of AFC where people can print more than one and that these are being placed there as a result of being sent to individuals who have "print one copy" only capabilities.

How they really know these things is something I am not aware of but I do expect they have methods of tracking these things. Example: The FL coupons on AFC rarely scan but the FL coupons that you print from your own personal email from FL do scan readily.

Sometimes when you print from afullcup.com that name gets printed on the paper, atleast mine does. as long as you clip it off, theyd never know. otherwise, it does say 1 per transaction. sounds like someone was not smart and ruined it for others probably by doing more than 1 q in 1 transaction...like handing over 3 of 1 q that says limit 1 print in 1 transaction. not smart. you could make multiple trips to multiple food lions to avoid this. i do this since its always better to avoid drawing attention to yourself, your sources, and hopefully not ruining it for others !

I dont know what they are gonna do then because the ones I print from their email don't even scan so they have issues. Most of the managers don't even know they have coupons on their website.

I agree with CM Angel. None of the FLIPS have ever scanned at my Food Lion. All of them have to be hand entered.

I have been told by my local store though, that they will only accept FLIPS and no other internet coupons. They really need a consistent coupon policy across the board!

I mean come on.Somebody comes on here today and says target won't take her afullcup coupons.If you look at that person's past posts,she said pretty much the exact same thing 11/17/07.

I for some reason get this feeling that afullcup is really big now and I actually visited some other sites over the last few weeks that I hadn't been to in over a year.Well, to me they are pretty much dead.So I guess in some ways I just get this feeling of sabotage.

Rick, I thanked you before you edited it and I'll thank you afterwards!! I just get so tired of seeing posts that are nothing but bad mouthing AFC with their first and only post! I welcome just about everyone that comes through "The Welcome Mat" and I love doing it.....but I have limits, too!

You can stand at the kiosk at Target and print as many MULTIPLE coupons as you want to. I have never had a FLIP or any other coupon print A FULL CUP on it anywhere and I print a lot of them! I'm with CM, JRA & aidan&logansmommy on this one!!

Kinda know how Smokey the Bear feels trying to keep the fires put out and keep the integrity of the forest, IMHO!!

I don't know which Food Lion you are going to in Winston Salem but if you are willing to drive a little farther to Lewisville-Clemmons they are very coupon friendly and will manually punch the numbers in for you if it will not scan. I just got back from there tonight using the coupons off of the Food Lion generator, and I also used the coupons from the target generator and used them at the target in Winston Salem.

here in Goldsboro, NC i dont have any issues at all with the Food Lions that i go to
