So you're thinking it will track at the regular price and we only have to buy one in order to reach the $3 threshold? Why I"m asking is last week while using the produce FLIP...the cashier was saying I had not reached the threshold and I bought a watermelon (reg price $5.99) plus a couple other items (produce) so I was a bit surprised.... I know in the past Food Lion did track reg prices but after that experience it's making me wonder.

$3.29 reg price..one box would cost $1.65 minus $1 FLIP= .65

It worked for me the first day but the next day it didn't work. The register said not reached.

I got a $1 off $5 produce coupon at the kiosk today, so I tried using that instead of the FLIP to see how it worked. I got cherries ($3.99# pre-MVP, $2.97# MVP) and 2 bananas.
Cherries = $3.42 MVP ($4.59 pre-MVP)
Bananas = $0.55 MVP ($0.55 pre-MVP)
$3.42 + $0.55 = $3.97 MVP ($5.14 pre-MVP)

The register accepted the $1 off $5 produce coupon, so it must go by pre-MVP price.


Jotted down a few more produce prices:
3# bag of Gala apples ~~ $3.79 pre-MVP, $2.50 MVP
2# bag of carrots ~~ $1.65 pre-MVP, $0.99 MVP

I have not had any issues in the past by using the pre MVP price. The only caveat is when something is marked down or on clearance then it goes by the price marked. I have had cashiers question me but I explain it is based on regular price and they scan the coupon and it works fine. If I do not meet the threshold, then the coupon beeps. I have not had any issues yet this week and I purchased a $9 steak on MVP for $5.xx and the $1.50 off $7 meat FLIP worked fine.

ETA: I am not sure how the ice cream sandwiches will scan on Friday. I am going to take one to the register and see how it scans before I purchase. I believe it will depend on the BOGOF price. Since they could base it off of $3.xx reg price then BOGOF (this meets the threshold) or if they do it $2.50 and then BOGOF (this will not meet the threshold). I hope that makes some sense. It does in my head but not sure if I am explaining it well

I hope our Food Lions are stocked up on them by tomorrow. With no electricity for several days due to Friday's storm, they had to throw out all perishables and are still restocking. I saw only 1 box of 12-count ice cream sandwiches today.
