Went to my local Food Lion (in Virginia) yesterday (1/10) and found Christmas M&M's, plain and peanut on discount for 1.07 a bag- 12.60 oz size--thought this was a great price to buy up and freeze-- as if I need more candy after Christmas-- but a deal is a deal, can't pass it up. Only got 2 bags but will be going back for more. Hope you all find them in your FL.

My FL has Perdue Shortcuts fully cooked chicken on closeout for $1.79 each. If you can find 'em, that's a STEAL! Plus the Q machince has been printing a lot of Perdue Qs lately (for me at least) so opp to even get it free!

Here in Maryland my FL had French's French Fried Onions in the CHEESE flavor (our favorite) in the large size can on close-out for 2.88 each. I have bunches of Qs for those which I used buying up the last 14 cans.

Also, the Coffee-mate 'Christmas flavors' in 16oz are on close-out for 1.50 each.

Found Hefty gallon size storage bags 30ct box on clearance for .47 and they all had .15 peelies on them.

I found the Whiskas Tray cat food on clearance (.35 cents each) for 1/2 the regular price .69 cents for the Rotisserie Chicken Flavor only.
I had 5 of the B1G1 Free coupons on hand...so I got 10 trays = $3.50 minus $1.75 = $1.75 cost to me for 10 Whiskas Trays.

Normally they would cost .69 cents each even with the B1G1 free coupons I would of paid $3.45 for 10 trays bought. I'm so happy I only paid $1.75 for all 10 trays !

Nutragrain cereal bars close out for $2 Cranberry and Acia berry flavors - inside the box was $5 coupons for breakfast items one was $1 off 2 Nutragrain

I found the Quaker Oatmeal Mix up Creations and Fruit& Nut Medley on close out this morning for $1.49 a box.

Totally stocked up on the Quaker mix ups and other oatmeal - great deal even without Q! Wish I had seen the granola bar post before I left although I already went over budget with all that oatmeal

My Food Lion started putting a huge variety of items on clearance a week or so ago. Rather than leaving it all on the shelves to take up space there are five separate tables in three locations in the store. I've seen everything from canned yams to USB cables. None of the food products have gone past their expiration date. More items have been added every time I go to the store.

At checkout one of the always helpful managers suggested I go look at one of the nearby clearance tables for cat products. Wow! I bought all the treats- Temptations Indoor salmon flavor for $.49 and Goodlife Recipe chicken & beef for $.74.

I recommend paying close attention to Food Lion brand products because some are being rebranded to My Essentials. I found large bottles of FL salad dressing for $.75 and peanut butter for $.74.

My store is doing a huge reset normally there is only one very small section of close out items yesterday when I went in they had added 3 tables full of close out items in the dairy section. What I remember seeing was Huggies diapers, Friskies indoor cat food, various 3pks of gum and candy, Mccormick packet seasonings, Non alcoholic drink mixers, Hungry Jack potatoes, Sardines, BC frosting, Foil pans.

I went down a few isles today and found the following:

* Kraft Shake & Bake $1.25 There were atleast 2 different ones on closeout
* Mrs. Dash $1.49
* Sea salt $1.19
* McCormick Slow Cooker Chicken Noodle $1.20
* McCormick Potato steamers $1.47
* Betty Crocker frosting vanilla $1.42

I will try to get more this week.

This is an awesome deal! But from experience, if you freeze or refrigerate the M&M's, they discolor, and can end up all turning white.

Tonight I found Old Orchard healthy balance Pomagranate juice on closeout for 1.49. Oldorchard.com has $1/2 coupons to print if you sign up. Got 6 bottles for $6.54 after tax! Also saw food lion essentials apple juice closeout for 1.99.
