I have not been doing much at Food Lion lately but went today and found some new tearpads. They are both MIR's and Q's.

MIR's

What is a blinkie, tearpad, peelie.... I am new to couponing. Getting a bit overwhelmed, but determined to learn every angle I can to save during these turbulent times. Thanks.

Blinkie - The coupons that are in a little machine in front of products on the shelf. There used to be a little red light on the machine (not sure if there still is - I haven't noticed in awhile).

Tearpad - a small stack of coupons (usually on a display board) in front of a product. They are also very common in the beer aisle and can be either coupons or mail in rebates (MIR).

Peelie - coupon attached to a product. These you peel off of the packaging of the item you are purchasing.

I found an awesome tearpad....

Save $2 on any produce or bagged salad. No minimum purchase listed, only valid in NC and WV. Expires 1/31/11. It's from one of the beer companies, and it is a coupon, not a MIR!

They had a booklet in the back by a display for game day it is called game day playbook has coupons in the back

This one has been in my store for quite some time, but yesterday I found right NEXT to ^^^^that one, a $2/1 Planters & $2/1 Ritz!! Score! It was a different looking tear pad. The 2 Qs were on the same page, but it was perforated down the middle, so when you peeled the page off the tear pad, you then separated it into the 2 separate Qs.

Looked again today for those Planters/Nabisco tearpads. I was out of town and finally found the $2/2 q ~~ now that the good deal from last week is over~~ and it expires 2/6/11! Still on the lookout for the $2/1 q, though.
