I thought I saw this asked, but can't remember where. Is it acceptable, or dependant upon store to combine them?

So if my local store said no, I should try another store? And if so, is it just if they notice, or that the register will beep? I'm afraid to try, but I used 30+ coupons yesterday, and I doubt they would have noticed if I had manufacturer qs in there.

Official corporate policy is that you can use one coupon per item; no stacking of FLIPS and mfr. q's. Around here the enforcement of this used to vary from store to store but the registers have recently been programmed to prevent using 2 q's on any one item.

I find this policy frustrating. If they offer store coupons...then that is out of THEIR pocket. Its a marketing ploy like any other to get you in the door in hopes you'll buy other things too. When they accept a manufacturer coupon....they get reimbursed PLUS the handling fee. So correct me if I'm wrong....if they claim to accept manufacturer coupons....then denying them when you use a FLIP is NOT accepting manufacturer coupons. Does that make sense? FL in our area does not double coupons, so stacking with a flip is what makes FL competitive. Otherwise I would be foolish to use any coupons under 99 cents there. They will double elsewhere.


And then there is the oh so confusing message on their home mailer...combine with manufacturer coupons for additional savings. Now why would they put that if they aren't allowing it?

At my store it all depends on the cashier. The registers take both no problem.

I guess it is certain foodlion's i do it all the time combine a flip with manu. Coupon. My foodlion does not care just as long as it does not beep.

I just came from Food Lion and got 5 Huggies 14pk sz.3 and used the FQ and MQ. This was in Chapel Hill, NC
