Would someone with a good couponing/budget sense post each week what the best deals are, and the buy 1 get 1/2 free's are.

I have a real hard time with the new shopping list format and try and skim it but its so much to take in. I don't remember a ton of prices... so if someone sees a great buy or something they think others too might want to stock up on/take advantage of, would they post a thread?

This isnt a very active forum, I guess because not a lot of people have Food City's. So if we did that I don't think it would get lost in the shuffle but might help some of us newbies out.

If no one has time thats okay too. I know there aren't a lot who follow this forum.

To tell you the truth, I don't shop a lot there. I just do the shopping list to help out here. Unless it is something I normally buy, I am terrible with prices. I know that most of the BOGO Free are usually good deals.

I will be happy to mention the sales that I know are good. I mentioned a few in the post about the shopping list being finished.

The reason I started putting the BOGOs in the list is that it is taking me three days to do the list. I just don't have time to make individual lists. I would be thrilled if someone wanted to pull out all the BOGOs and put them in a new post. I was just trying to kill two birds with one stone. I also labeled the meat and produce so it would all be in one area to make it easier to find. I could label the BOGOs like I am doing the meat and produce. Do you think that would help? The list is in alphabetical order so they are all scattered out. It would actually be easier for me to do that. It would take out a step in entering the items.

I do wish more people would post about their shopping trips, too. It helps me learn the prices.

Thank you for the reply! That is so so nice of you to do the shopping list and yet you don't even shop there often! How generous you are with your time!! I would help- but honestly, I dont know the slightest thing about this stuff.

I do wish more people who shop at food city would post. I see this forum gets a lot of views, but a few thanks, but no posts. Maybe if we all could come together and help one another out this would really be a successful forum!

I was thinking about your post after I responded and I think I know what you are talking about. I like to visit the CVS board and see all the posts where people talk about the sales and share how they have matched a sale with a Q. Food City just doesn't have the kind of deals that other stores have. I think they are trying to do better though. I've been receiving Qs in the mail lately and I've noticed they put a couple in this week's circular. I've also noticed them matching prices with Walmart on some things. Right now, their Jif peanut butter is cheaper than Walmart's, but you have to buy the large twin pack. We eat a lot of PB, so I have started buying that at FC.

I think our little forum will pick up. I think we just need to be consistent and hang in there.
