A Florida Publix Employee just called my bank (in Ohio) to let them know that someone was using my Debit/Credit Card # to make multiple purchases of tobacco products. The Publix Employee thought the transactions were strange/fishy and went out of his/her way to contact my bank. My bank cancelled my debit card immediately. Although much damage was done, who knows how much more damage could have happened without this Good Samaratin. I believe the employee was from a Publix in/near Lakeland, Florida. PLEASE THANK THE LAKELAND FLORIDA PUBLIX EMPLOYEES FOR ME. I plan to call/write/do whatever I can to show my gratitude.

Just a guess: I visited Florida a year and 1/2 ago and used my Debit Card at a WalMart Supercenter there. My guess is that someone captured my CC# and made a fake card using my number. This fake card was used at the same Walmart Supercenter several times (in addition to Publix, 7-Eleven, etc)

MORAL OF THE STORY: CASH IS KING!!!!

Thank you. I hope they catch him/her too!! It's a horrible feeling! My bank has the time/date of each transaction. You would think that using survelliance video it wouldn't be that hard???
