Miami is not easy. No doubles, unfriendly/jealous cashiers (specially females) and so on...

Couponing isn't easy, but there are ways around it. My first advice would be to become a member of groupon, I got 6 subscriptions to Miami Herald for 40 a year. Then, learn to profile cashiers, young male cashiers are best at any store.

There you have my 2 cents...good luck!!

Miami is really tough but what makes it difficult is when you compare to what others are doing ... I think it will be easier if you find someone that coupons and you can work together. Also, set your own personal goals and work towards that ... Have you tried any stores yet? I have done pretty well at cvs, walgreens, target and publix. Don't like walmart or kmart. I have cut my grocery bill by half and tripled the amount of items (since I am starting my stockpile). So it is doable. How many papers do you buy? I missed that groupon deal but have been stacking it ever since. Feel free to pm me if you have questions or want the scoop on any stores.

Well I have to say that couponing it's not easy and it takes time ... but it's soooo worth it!
I've been using coupons for the past three months, it's a awesome! I have my stockpile and I try to make it grow every week. I set my monthly budget and keep it in cash. So, at the beginning of the months I get my cash and separate to do not go over it. Then I see what do I need, or what I am running low. Then if I see specials is toothpastes, deodorant, ect if it cost me les than $.75 I will purchase and if it's free I will stock up! Curerntly I have toothpaste, deodorant, pantiliners, toothbrushes, lotions, soaps, dishwasher, bandaids, analgesics, muscle pain relievers ... for up-to a year! My hubby loves it!
Im located in Doral, but I tend to shop outside or Doral ... here prices are higher!
I shop at Publix (love the BOGO deals) Winndixie (love the catalinas, and Make a Meal Deal), Wallmart (I'm addicted to the Price Match, even though I have to fight every time I go .. .cashiers are incredibly rudeee), Target (love to combine store q's with mq's), CVS and Wallgreens ... rewards and extra bucks are the best! If you need help, and if you want to plan a shopping trip together let me know... I usually go twice a week, one for supermarkets and the other for stores.

Doral ... I am in Miami Springs

I do the same keep my weekly budget and stock up on what I can. My hubby is a big supporter too.

From my experience, the publix in Doral (on 41 St) is not very coupon friendly. I tried that one once but did not have a good experience. I also tried the CVS on 107 Ave but they didn't have any stock ???

What are you getting this week?

It is nice to finally find people in the area that can relate to the frustrations

Ali

After three month shopping in Doral
... my conclusion it's that,
CVS - on 74th : the mgr. it's not IP friendly. And no BOGO special with coupon friendly.
CVS - on 107th : there are only two cashier coupon friendly (a 20ish- year old girl, and a 17-ish year old boy) and just one mgr. coupon friendly. They run-out really fast of special's products.
Publix - on 58th: the prices are higher and the mgr. tries to give me problem every time I use q's.
Publix - on 97th: they seem to be more coupon friendly, still higher prices.
Winndixie - on 41st : they're OK!
Wallgreens - on 97th: it's the wooooorse, no products at all, the mgr. it's always lost; once I asked him about a product and he said hmmm... I've never seen it before, uhg maybe we dont have it, I dont know when we are going to get it

~
I tried to shop at:
Wallgreens: next to Michaels on Flagger
Publix: next to Michaels on Flagger
CVS: usually 107th

But the one that beats the record, on bad customer service skills and management it's
HIALEAH's WALMART - they are the woooorse!

---
I went shopping to CVS today, I will make a description of my purchase in a bit with savings and everything so if you havent done this deals you could go!

I had to go home print-out the PM policy and take it back to the manager, because she kept saying she had to see to honor the PM ... could you believe that? - PM Policy states: that we are not required to take the AD to get a PM; obviously if I have I will take it; but the night before another cashier kept my Navarro's AD! But I called corporates today and put a complaint, they need to spend a little more time training their managers at least! (lets not talk about cashiers)

Wish Stores inMiami/ Doral Area

Hi Guys:

I'm a newbie also living in 107Av in Doral Area so I appreciate the scoop on the CVS stores and others.
Your posting is helping me plan my trip so I don't know if you're referring to CVS in 107 Av & Flagler or the one by FIU or 107 Av and 41st so please specify.

Tks & appreciate your input.
