"The Powers That Be" here at AFC have given us FJ / A&P shoppers a forum to post our deals. I'm pretty psyched about that, and hope that we can post our deals and keep this forum lively!

This week's ad (which is good thru Thursday, as they are changing their ad-cycles this week) has a couple good deals in it.

First, they have the 3+ pound pack of 93%-lean ground beef BOGO. Regular price is $3.99 / lb. So if you do this deal and get 2 of the 3 pound packs, your looking at $12.00 for 6 pounds of meat. This is a good deal, and rivals the Meijer sale-pricing on their Angus Ground meat.

They also have Lays Chips (11 oz bags) on sale for $1.49. In-and-of itself, not such a great deal. But there are "Save $1.50 on FL" stickers on some of the cases of Miller, which makes these free chips. (I have only found a couple of these stickers ... they are hard to store, as they stick to one another and make themselves unusable.)

They have advertised AquaFresh, GUM Toothbrushes, and Schick ST razors at 50% off. I don't know retail prices on these items, but with the insert coupons that are out there, I would think that these things come in pretty inexpensive.

They have advertised their store-baked Italian and Garlic bread for $1.29. We eat the Italian bread quite a bit, it's good, and fresh bread goes great with free Muellers and cheap Ragu from Kroger!

Not included in the ad: There is a 12-pack of dasani bottled water (didn't note the size) on sale for $2.00. I haven't figured it out yet, but I am hoping that the $1/1 Dasani coupon from 8/20 SS will work on these. That would be sweet!! (They were sold out from the shelves when I was there last night, which led me to think this is probably a good deal!)

The aquafresh should be almost free with the coupons from Sunday's paper. I think the Schick should be a good deal, but FJ's prices are high on HBC items usually.

One more FJ special to note ... Vlasic hot dog relish is STILL free (it has been since June, if memory serves). They have the small glass jars of relish, plus the plastic squeezable bottles, priced at 10/$10.00. And you can use the $0.50/1 Vlasic coupons (says "any pickles peppers or relish" and were found in 8/20S and 7/23S), which will double and make them free. The tag shows this price going for about 10 more days.

Excellent! I did not know about the free relish. Now to find some coupons.
