I went on Monday to get some milk and a few other items I couldn't get at the comissary. I go on Monday's because it is Military Appreciation Day and we get 5% off.

Well, at least it *was* MAM.

The cashier told me rudely that they "ended that promotion". I asked when and she told me March 1st. (I had gotten it since then...I guess the cashier didn't know it ended and gave me the 5% anyway).

So, I asked if they still had senior citizen days, and she said, "Yes, well, they deserve it a little more and that isn't a promotion, it's an ongoing savings deal."

I want to write to customer service about it. I'd call, but I have a better filter when I write.

Has anyone written to FF and gotten a response from CS that isn't a standard reply?

I called their CS once because I was totally peeved . . . and I got TWO calls back, and they resolved my issue IMMEDIATELY! GREAT, GREAT, GREAT service from their main office!!!!! (I don't know about emailing--but I know they were nice even though I was peeved on the phone!)

I have e-mailed Farm Fresh before. It was just a simple coupon question but they actually called me with the answer instead of emailing me back.

So, it sounded to me like she insinuated the military was less worthy of a discount than a senior? CS definately needs to know you were insulted by this cashier. I would expect them to tell you they will speak to the cashier, and I wouldn't doubt a gift card sent your way.

As of today, no response either via email or phone call.

If it goes until Wed. without a response, I have a feeling they aren't going to respond at all, which is a little upsetting. I don't expect them to change their policy or anything, but a little recognition of what the cashier did wrong would be nice.

I spoke with my local mgr. as well as corporate about this earlier in the month. We are retired military & b/c of doubles on Wednesday, have stopped shopping @ the commissary. I conveyed my "ire" & my perceived lack of patriotism on FF part by discontinuing the military discount. The mgr. (Williamsburg) said he was personally going to call corporate, but no change yet. I also spoke to corporate & confirmed my conversation with an email.

Personally, and I know this doesn't help you with your milk run the other day, but I think everyone is going on Wednesday to get the $1 doubles. I'm not sure how many were actually using the military discount, but that is not an excuse for doing away with it!

I only used it once, but it's only because I didn't shop FF much until they started dollar doubles. Even now if I don't have time on Wednesdays, and I often don't, I won't normally shop there. I did get rid of a lot of dollar coupons last week though! woot!

Right now, FF is the best game in town for me. Harris Teeter is to open in the next few months & Bloom has done some triples. Heard they were piloting triples x 1 week in the Raleigh area....

They are doing triples all this week at HT in Newport News. I can't wait until the Williamsburg one opens, I'm thinking fairly soon as I believe they just started hiring. I'm excited as we're getting a CVS on Rt 17. Do you shop the new Target? It's the best for clearance.

yes, that is the Target closest to me.....but I go to the other one when I need to buy in bulk..they always have more stock...
