| Can anyone explain how gas rewards work at FF?
I don't have a Farm Fresh near me that has a fuel station, but I do occasionally pass ones that do. I really have no idea how to use the gas rewards to get cheaper gas at these places. Can anyone explain?

When you are shopping in the store, they will have signs in front of certain products that for example, "Buy a package of Kraft cheese, save $.2/gallon" The signs are yellow with red and hard to miss. So you buy your groceries and at the end of the receipt you will get a tally saying, "You saved $.10/gallon" and a code. When you go to the gas, you just punch in your code and get the discount. I think there is a limit to how many gallons you can get- 15 maybe. I also believe that you can use part of the discount on one trip (for six gallons) and the rest in another (nine gallons). The one I go to in Elizabeth City has an attendant and he even punched the code for me and everything. I only got a few products but was able to save enough to make it worth my while. I don't shop Farm Fresh enough to be an expert on this, so anyone else, please feel free to correct me!

MommySusan1 explained it pretty well. You can also look on the FF website to see what the current gas deals are. At the stores I shop at the code is also a bar code that can be scanned at the pump (easier than punching in all those numbers). Be sure to make note of the expiration date too. However, as far as I know you can't use them on multiple trips - has anyone tried this? You can stack up to 10 different discount receipts. For example, when I filled up last week I had 5 or 6 receipts. I scanned each one in first, and then swiped my credit card. I paid 0.74 a gallon. It pays to keep an eye on what their current price of gas is. At mine, it is sometimes the same as everywhere around it making it a good deal no matter what and other times it seems to be 0.10 or so higher which means I'd need at least that much off to make it worthwhile. Most of the attendants are very nice and are happy to help. |

Just as Lisadoni said, I have saved them (Elizabeth City has the pumps) and once recently got gas for $.52/gallon using up 10 saved receipts. It's really simple and a great savings! I wanted to add, it's a maximum of 15 gallons at the reduced price.

I didn't know that you could use multiple receipts- that makes it an even better deal. I only go once every few months, so I always use them as soon as I get them, even if I can only squeeze a few gallons in my tank!

They are usually good for 30 days, so I mark my dayminder with the exp. date and use them while I am "in town"~LOL.........and yes, you can stack as many as 10 I believe. I keep them in the glove compartment in the truck. When you scan your receipt it asks if you have another to scan and just say yes and scan.... I have even had the cashiers hand me other people's gas receipts that they did not want because they were for between $.01-$.05 each, but when you combine, they really add up fast!

OMG! $0.52 & $0.74 a gallon. That is awesome!! I am definately going to save my rewards now. I think there might be some FF's with gas stations near DH's work. Maybe he won't throw a fit about having to use coupons if they're for gas! THANKS, for all the helpful info everyone!!

Well after all this talk about double Q's on Wednesday and gas rewards, I decided to make a trip to Elizabeth City today. I had everything right about the rewards, except that you have to use it all in one trip (can't get five gallons one trip, nine the next). You can stack receipts- it even asks if you have more to scan. I didn't plan my trip AT ALL and just shopped. I bought things I would have normally bought and saved $.07/gallon. So if you planned, you could really rack up the discount. The normal price is comparable to local gas stations. GDA- The Pringles sticks were $3.29/box with $1.00QD=$1.29/box and I got $.02 a gallon discount for each box I bought.

My cashier at FF last night said that they are going to start building a fuel station at my FF in the Spring. I was so excited! I am going to start keeping my gas rewards in my glove box, like someone suggested. I know that I have to go to Williamsburg for DS's sports team in a week or two, so I will use them then!

Honor, you beat me! Yes, our FF is getting a gas pump by the summer. Meanwhile, I use my fuel savers at the merrimac trail FF. Then I go right up the road and hit cvs while I'm there!! Makes for a good trip.
