I noticed there is very little discussion in this forum. I shop at Fareway at least twice a week and would be interested in hearing if anybody is finding any good deals out there. I found a couple this week that I can share

Old Orchard Juice - 0.99
This includes the big 64oz bottles as well as the frozen canisters. I found a coupon for $1.00 off when you buy two. This made the juice only 0.50 a bottle. I stocked up and bought four.

Many types of cereal (kellogs, post and general mills) on sale for 2.50 a box. Use the multitude of cereal coupons out there. I also noiced there was a try me free label on the rasin bran extra, so will get that for free.

Other items on sale that include coupon are as follows:
Poptarts
French's mustard
Bar S franks
Fastco cottage cheese - no coupon, but on sale for 0.99
Kraft cheese
Manwhich sauce
Blue bunny ice cream
Heinz 57 sauce

plus others...

Any others notice any good deals?

My Dad works at Fareway! He's a bag boy (ok, he's 65) and it's the cutest thing ever. He retired as a grocery store manager a few years ago, and I guess we just couldn't keep him away Unfortunately there's no Fareways close to me, but I always go for their meat when I'm back home. Their Hawaiian burgers are AMAZING, and everything seems very well-priced!!

Ohhh, I can only hope that my store has the Old Orchard for $.99. We are in desperate need of juice. Even if I don't have a Q that is an awesome price

My store has the Hefty One Zip on sale for $1.66/box (not sure how many in box.....will let you know tomorrow). Use the $1.00/1 Q & makes a great price. Not free like others are finding but still a good price.

Darn it.... I went back today and the old orchard is back up to around $1.59 or so. I talked to one of the employees and apparently that was last weeks special and the new ad for next week goes into effect today. I have found out that our Fareway is very aggressive in matching prices. They actually post special pink price tags on the shelf with the name of the store they are matching. Since we have a target, a walmart, a hy-vee and a cub-foods in town. The deals are usually really good.

I am new here, but have a FAreway right across our state line--Live in MO go to IA. If I remember right the Fareway in Centerville, IA will take others coupons--they have Hyvee and Walmart to compete with. It has been a few years since I have done this, but it was that way then. I will let you know next time i shop there.

The Fareway here in Ames will accept coupons from othre local stores. I really like to use the Cub Foods BOGO free coupons. I even had them match Aldi's ads for produce prices (mushrooms, brocoli and bananas) are my favorites.

I'm new to couponing and love Fareway! I just learned they did price matching but didn't realize they accepted other stores coupons--is this a store by store policy or pretty common with all Fareway stores?

Not sure. You will have to ask at your store. We have a brand new fareway and they are really trying to grow the business. So they are really eager to gain new customers and outsell the competition. I recommend you find a manager and ask. My store clerks do not always know what is going on and like to make up answers to coupon questions.

I can't believe I didn't realize they did this! Do you have to take a physical Aldi ad to Fareway with you? Aldi doesn't publish an ad every week do they? Great idea, though!

My Aldi's has an ad every week, I get it in the mail. There are also copies available at the front door as well. The produce only appears occasionally. Yes, I have to take the ad in with me to get the price match.
