Hi! Is there anyone else doing Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University? We are over half way through, just finished the "Fruition to Tuition" this week. If you have done it, how much debt have you paid off? If you are doing it now, what do you think? How far along are you?

My DS came home from school a little while ago and told me about this Bakugan Maxus Dragonoid (don't feel bad if you don't know what it is... I didn't either lol)

Anyways... apparently this toy is THE toy to have (at least in his eyes) and "oooh mom, please please please this is AAAALL I want for christmas... nothing else.. please please please, can I have it,... can I, can I??"

Holy Cow lol

I had to think back and remembered my crazy x-mas wishes and how happy I was when I found them under the tree lol So yeah... I bought it :)

Walmart and ToysRus were sold out online so I bought if from Target (online). With shipping I paid a little bit over $42... just had to share lol

Rejected 3 times and got free movie tix, LOL

I work in healthcare, and the red cross always comes to my work to take blood donations. I can never give, my iron is always too low, no matter what I eat the night before. Anyhoo, yesterday was my 3rd attempt and I was rejected. I got two free movie tix. WOO HOO. If you give you get them also. They used to give them if you just try but it was too expensive and everyone was trying. Just thought I'd share.

because i'm an idiot and accidentally stepped on his paw. :frown:
Now i'm out 150 bucks. Vet observed him and said that it is likely he is just in pain, and no fractures or broken toes or anything like that. :crossingmyfingers: I won't have to take him back again later this week.............

Oh well, lesson learned i guess.

A little background info. My kids go to small christian school and oldest is 13 a straight A student until now. She is a very obedient child afraid of getting in trouble and has never even had her name on the board. She had a B for a class and she was very upset she wanted to handle it so she asked teacher and was told she made a 50 for a coloring page and she says she did the work. Well I called the teacher yesterday and she told me my child had a problem with who she was assigned with and got up from the table and worked with another group which is why she got the 50. I am finding this hard to believe out of a child who has never even gotten her name on the board but I tell teacher I will be asking dd about it. Well she is shocked and doesn not want to confront teacher because she is afraid she will not like her anymore but she still insists she did not do this. The whole middle classes are going on a trip this weekend and she does not want to make anyone mad and I am afraid of the fallout myself. I asked my daughter if there was a problem with these girls the teacher mentioned and she says no they get along great.My husband wants to just pull her out of the trip and get to the bottom of the grades but I am torn. I had nightmares last night of the girls being mean to my daughter and her just being miserable but still wanting to fit in YKWIM?Please give me some advice.

Free Cereal, when do you stop?

Due to a glitch in our local supermarket all GM cereal, any size box is 4/6. I have an endless amount of .75 of one box of ones like cheeries, kix, fiber one etc.

I have probably over 30 boxes, gave some two neighbors and friends, expiration dates are most about 11 months or so for now with few exceptions.

I was originally told it ended Saturday, but its Monday and so far I got a few more, not sure how long it will last.

I can't help from going back, but have not spent all day doing it as I don't want to attract attention.

When would you quit? Its so addictive to get things for free especially when you're unsure of the time limit.

They are totally free, no tax.

Military Orders..

Well...My husband is Coast Guard...and its that time of year where he gets his orders to move to a new base..So we got the list of jobs and were getting ready to put the job openings in order of what we wanted....then today he goes to work and sees an email saying that March 2010 we will be moving to Virgina for him to go to some school and then April 2011 we will be staying in Virgina and he will be on a boat for 2 months at a time and then back for 2 months....then back out on the boat for 2 months and repeat for 4 years.

This is a hard pill for me to swollow..I know we have Army and Marines etc overseas for a year + at a time, but still this is hard enough for me to deal with because what am I suppose to do while he is gone? My family is in Canada so I will be going back to live with my parents (im 23 by the way) for 2 months and then back with hubby for 2 months and repeat. I have 2 cats, no children. My cats will have to come back home with me...which will be hard because at my parents house they have 2 dogs, a rottweiler and a pit bull, so these 2 cats are in for a rude awakening. Plus, Im gonna be without not only my husband but also everything that is mine. Anything that wont fit into a suit case,cant come home with me. No couponing...*sigh*. It could be worse, thankfully he even has a job. Also to top things off, I dont have a drivers license, so i either have to fly home,or have DH drive me home, with my 2 cats...eeerrgg. I just found out this news,maybe thats why im stressing out..Just lots to think about...Send good vibes so I dont go bonkers!

I just read in a magazine recently that the average cost for Thanksgiving food to feed 10, according to Farm Bureau economist Jim Sartwelle, is $44.00.

I think it would be fun for people to post here how many people you will have for Thanksgiving this year and how much you spend on dinner! :)

We're gonna have a minimum of 35 people, and it's gonna be potluck, so doesn't really apply to me this year, but sure am looking forward to hearing ya'lls answers!
