What I did wrong:
Shouldn't have gotten any aunt jemima, the hungry jack is a much better deal and I still have more coupons
Should have checked for smart balance spread coupons - I'm pretty sure I have some.
Buy the yeast in multiples of 5 - looks like you only get 5 cats for these. - Edit: no I did get 6, ignore this part!

First I went to the Warwick shaws on the way home from work. They were out of most of what I had my coupons for...oh well I'm sure they'll restock.
Catalina deal:
4 Gold medal flour (no Q)
8 BC potatos (6 25 cent/1 and 1 $1/2)
6 Kleenex - flat pink box with flowers (50 cent/3)

Not sure if counted for catalina deal so didn't include when figuring my total:
2 boxes cottonelle wipes - the new green ones. Aloe or something? ($2/1 catalinas made them free :) )

Other:
6 Nesquick (50 cent coupons)

I also had a $1 bonus buck or something. Not sure why I got it or when.
Total was 22.76 and I got $15 in cats

Then I went to Cranston and had a little better luck, was able to do a double deal:
4 BC potatoes ($1/2)
20 rolls scott paper towels ($1/4)
4 progresso broth ($1/1)

non-cat:
6 more nesquick (50/1)

I used the cats from the previous trip
Total was $9.65 and got back $30 in cats :)

Funny story about the paper towels. The warwick store was out and I was a little bummed, it being the first day of the sale.

Then the cranston store had a ton. They didn't have a sale tag up so that's probably why. I grabbed 16 rolls and went to look for other stuff. I ended up deciding to get 8 more paper towels. Went back and there were only 7 rolls lift! Wow those are going fast. They disappeared in about 10 minutes from being fully stocked.

When I went to check out the person ahead of me had a ton of paper towels, coupons, and cats from a previous transaction. Of course I was too shy to ask if she was from AFC. A lot of the staff at Shaws were in costume (which I just love!!!). That was fun.

We also got to chat with the Ghost of John Denver. Not really. There's a guy who is there every Sat. morning in the soup aisle restocking the shelves and I swear he looks just like John Denver (round glasses and the same hair cut as JD). It wasn't a costume either LOL. :biggrin:Really nice guy. He always stops stocking and chats with us when we go down that aisle.

So now to the deals LOL.

I found a deal on Scotch Brand sponges. They were advertised 10/$10 but they were BOGO at my Shaws. So I got 2 for the price of one with a $1 off 2 Q made them $2.39.

Like last week, Over the Moon milk was on sale again. Paid $1.50 ea for 2 half gallons.

I also got 2 Mama Luigi meatballs pkgs which had $5 off when you buy 2 which essentially made that a bogo deal (reg. price $4.99).

Another good one was, I had a q for $2 off deli meat when you buy 2 boxes of Town House crackers. Townhouse were BOGO this week!! Yippee.

Also got a large container of Kozy Shack pudding that was on sale for $1.99 but I had a .55 cent q which made it .89 cents.

And the last deal I got was 4 Banquet frozen dinners. I had 10 zone bars, along with 10 $.55 coupons........the register only accepted 8 of the coupons, but took all 10 of the coupons, this happened TWICE at 2 different shaws. Not what I expected....so shoppers beware.

Not that I am totally complaining about spending $1.20 on 10 zone bars....but when I go back I will point this out :)
