			<title>Another horrible Glade trip to Target UGH!!!</title>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div>Last night I was refused using the glade refill coupons because when the cashier tried to scan the coupon it beeped (as usual they have to key in the amount) so he said "nope, can't take these, says 1 pr purchase" like I was committing fraud!! <br />

Well today, at a different store, the cashier freaked when the b1g1free coupon scanned and prompted him to key in the amount, so he calls over the manager who tries to tell me that I can only use 1 coupon pr 2 items :eek2: and that I have to pay full price for the tins to use the b1g1free refill coupons and she accused me of coupon fraud lol. She called me "you people," she called over security because she couldn't explain why she wouldn't accept the coupons. She told me that she would only accept 1 coupon pr 2 items and her argument just didn't make sense to me. Isn't Target's policy to accept 1 coupon pr item?! Course when I got home I got India on the phone.<br />

So will someone please explain to me what I was doing wrong!? Am I really supposto be paying full price for the tins? Am I not supposto use a coupon on the tins with a b1g1 refill coupon?! Doesn't the b1g1 coupon attach to item #2, and the other coupon to the tin?!?!?! Or is the b1g1 for both items?! The manager even tried to say that they would be paying me money if they accepted the b1g1 coupons which I had to explain to her that no, you haven't rung them up have you, but once you ring them up then that amout comes off, and she was all, "oh yeah." and she was a manager!! And was it really necessary for her to call over security?! <br />

Any imput on this would be greatly appreciated. I just need refills for gift baskets and don't even care about the g/c mm. I see people posting pics of huge amounts of product so is all of that coupon fraud using coupons on both (because you know everyone is doing it!) And what is with Target's putting up these big red signs by the check-out that say 'we gladly take manuf coupons' but they jerry rig their system to reject them all is loco.  <br />

Please everyone boycott Target. Do your black friday shopping @ Walmart. You'll prob get trampled at Target anyway this year and the lines will be LONG since they open @ 5 and their cashiers are brainwashed into making everything take hours when it should be simple and easy and you can't even get an American on the phone when you call with a complaint!!!! :mad2: Maybe if they would just accept legitimate manuf coupons they wouldn't have to oursource their workforce to India!!!</div>

I was first in line WOOO HOOO!! Walked in found a couple of awesome deals, including a Cinderella barbie that spins around and the Cinderella song plays, reg 42.00 60% got it for 17.00!!! Its an awesome doll too!! <br />
Any way they had all Power Wheels 40% off!! They had a display of 4 different quad power wheels the only one I checked the price on was a Batman and it was 79.99 so I thought they were all priced that much, so at the end of shopping I went to take a closer look and they had 1 diego one left for 55.99 so  40% off would have made it like 35! So I was like wow and before I could think this lady picked it up!! Oh well the weight limit was already what my youngest weighs now.<br />
So we get to the very front and I see the bigger ones, the one I loved was the Lightning McQueen car, $229.00 with discount would have made it 137.00.  What do I do say no, it would only fit 1 kid and I would have to get two, maybe I can find a better deal for BF. NO NO ONE has them on sale for BF GRRRRRRRR, I should have bought it when I had the chance now I am kicking my self!!! Thats all I really wanted to get them!<br />
So I will look out for another deal, but I think my boat has sailed!! :-(</div>

Yeah today is that day for me.<br />

Started at 4:30 am where Walmart Vs Stephanie started over the ever so popular "can i use this coupon" round. Round 1 went to walmart who told me no i cant because they wont get the full amount back from the coupon. <br />

Then onto Round 2 at Walmart #2 where same issue happens however the manager and the CSM agreed that if the coupon wanted you to get a value up to they would have put a place to write a price. After standing there for 20 min while numerous people read the coupon ( one even with a magnifying glass) and a wonderful and patient old man that just kept telling me he just wanted cigarettes and milk, i was allowed to purchase my items and be on my way.<br />
<br />
Headed off to the land of Target. Where , as many of you know, stats limit one per transaction on most of their coupons but are rarely enforced.<br />
Yes i know and i do not mine breaking them up... however i do mind when a manager tells me that im the reason Target has the wording that way , or basically people like you, then tells me "Dont we go through this with you every week" no um no sir i dont shop this target often b/c of you ( didnt say that just went um sure while feeling like doggy doo from the people in line and there were numerous stared at me)<br />

Called Target corp ( this is only my 2nd time ever and BOTH have been on this manager) and was told that it was my fault that he spoke to me that way b/c i used coupons. Well alrighty then! <br />
<br />
Off to the post office where the lady informed me i HAD to have my envelopes ( the larger 6x9 kraft type) taped shut it was their policy.... thats a new one on me i didnt know it was against the rules. She then went on to inform me that i wasnt allowed to mail something without tape and that she cant believe my packages had ever made it to their destinations... and that they would charge extra if i didnt tape them... well , dear, there is tape right beside you? Sigh<br />
<br />
Off to Kohls where it was PACKED ( what the heck are these people doing at 1 pm on a friday at Kohls lol) and got in and got to really looking at something and ended up having to leave b/c someone needed me right then to come pick up something. Really? <br />
<br />
Am home now and i dont think even the CEO of Target himself telling me they will honor any coupon i have and PM any Ad could get me to go out of the house again today.<br />
<br />
And ive ate my weight in chocolate cake as well. <br />

i called them on my way home and the lady was really nice and told me to just go back up there with my receipt and they'd get them for me.  but how can they get them for me?  will they just give me cash or will they print them at CS?<br />

i hate when they have clearly marked signs, i buy what they are advertising and don't get what they promised.  ARGH!</div>

I've raised him since he was 10, so he is more like my son, and I'm not ready to let him go yet. We were at the family meeting thing...]]></description>
			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div>I don't even want to get out of bed anymore because I don't want to know what is going to happen next.  My step-son is getting deployed December 14th for Afganistan. I've raised him since he was 10, so he is more like my son, and I'm not ready to let him go yet. We were at the family meeting thing for what to expect when he gets deployed and I missed a call from my grandma. Well she had to call the ambulance for my grandpa because I didn't answer my phone or call her back soon enough, yes that is what she told me. Somehow it was my fault. She is full of little witty comments like that and that is why none of her kids will answer their phones when she calls. So after being there all day I go sit at the hospital all night. So, after a long couple weeks of hospital trips and doctors trips where they tell us nothing is wrong with him. They finally figure out he has a bowel infection, but it has gone on so long there isn't much they can do for it. Then he got mersa staph infection from the hospital and his body couldn't handle dialasis cause of all of this and he couldn't eat. So he ended up dying from it.<br />
   So after all the funeral stuff I've spent a week, so far, doing the necessary paper work for my grandma, who none of her 4 children want to have anything to do with, because she is a very mean person. So it is all on me. And she has a broken arm because she tripped while I was taking her on her errands. Which was another ambulance trip because she slammed her head on the concrete and ended up with 8 stitches. She can't drive, so I have to take her to all her appointments and to all her special little stores because she can't just shop, at like say, walmart where they have everything.<br />
   And during all this my cellphone broke and even though it is not even 2 months old they will not replace it. My truck battery died while picking my kids up from school and I had to get jumped.  Both of my kids have had the flu at seperate times. I lost my debit card, which I have never done before.  And the one day I left my grandmas early to go home and get laundry and stuff done a squirrel blew out the transformer, or whatever it is called, and I had no power. That took two hours before they got it back on so I got nothing done before picking up my kids from school, and my brothers girlfriend had dropped off her sick kid. Who puked all over herself and everywhere else. Oh and my other brother just got out of rehab and keeps showing up at my door asking for money, for which I have none because I keep missing out on work from all this. I have more but this post is getting long, sorry.<br />
   And and and I have had no time to clip my coupons or go deal shopping so if I need something it actually costs me money, yes the real kind not the coupon kind. <br />
   Ok, I'll quit whining. If anyone else wants to vent about all the stuff that has gone wrong for them lately feel free to highjack this thread. I'm sure I'm not alone and it feels good to get it out. Thanks for listening.</div>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div>I have been shopping with my coupons and RRs at Walgreens for over a year now and I've finally had it.  The level of customer service at both Walgreens stores near me and the treatment of coupon users is insane.  We are scrutanized and left to feel like criminals just because we did our homework to stack coupons &amp; RRs and get good deals.  They get reimbursed for MF coupons!  When I look over the boards here on AFC, I find many, many more complaints about couponers at Walgreens than any other store.  It's obviously either a large training problem, or simply a corporate office that simply doesn't care.  There's no way that they could receive as many complaints as they do about customer service issues and claim to not realize that there was a problem.  I have run issues all the way to the DMs.  Although I get an apology, it's always the same song and dance the next time I go in.  I  have shopped my last sale at Walgreens, I am sad to say.  They have great sales, but it's simply no longer worth the hassle to me and I am tired of defending myself to the ends of the earth each time I go in there.  There are a lot of other stores that treat consumers much better.  I guess they have finally lost sight that NO Customers = NO Walgreens.  Am I alone here?<br />

I gave it a dish of food, went inside and called the dog catcher and told him I would bring it over since it had no tag, so I couldn't call the owner. The dog just kept eating and eating, and when I tryed pulling him away from the dish, he grawled at me. The dog catcher finally came to my house to see why I didn't bring the dog over. I said I was waiting for him to finish eating. The dog catcher brought the dog to the humane society, and they kept it for 5 days, then put it to sleep. On Nov 16th I saw an article in our town paper that the K-9 dog was missing. It was an 11 yr old black lab with a white face, due to old age. I called the police and told them that I had turned that dog into the dog catcher 2 weeks ago. Now it was on the local news, that the dog was put to sleep. I feel bad about it, but the police did't contact the humane society or the dog catcher for over 2 weeks, that they had lost their dog. Only after I told them to call the dog catcher, is when they did. I love dogs and am feeling bad about what happened, because I was trying to help the dog find his owner, and never thought it would be put to sleep. They said they put it to sleep, because it was un adoptable because it showed agressive behavior.</div>

I got the WORST customer service and the manger made me feel stupid. The manager actually insulted me and told me that I needed to read there coupon policy. I had my copy out and had point out MANY times what there policy was. They did not even know there own policy. <br />

I had my first bad experience with them over 5 months ago over them accepting coupons for travel size items. When the coupon clearly states good on any size and does not exclude trail size you can use the coupon. Well the cashier refused to take them, she called the manager over and he refused to take them as well. I even showed them the coupon policy but he still refused. I had a whole buggy of stuff that I left sitting there and I walked out. I got home and called Targets corporate office and never got in touch with anyone. I called back and got hung up on. Since that bad experience I have not shopped there in months until today. I was hoping Target had got there act together by now, but it is obvious they have not.<br />

Today's shopping trip will be my last, I will NEVER, EVER shop there, I don't care if it is free. I went to pick up a few items that were on sale and I had coupons for. First of all, they did not have half of the items I wanted so I made do and got what I could. I have had the $3 off 2 Arm &amp;Hammer tooth paste coupons forever and have never found them in the trial size or travel size until today at Target. I thought great I can get some for free and donate them to the homeless shelter. Well low and behold this is where my nightmare begins. I had 3 coupons and was going to get 6 tubes. When the cashier scanned the coupon of course it beeped and she told me she could not take it. I said yes she could and explained that it was good on any two, that she just had to adjust down the value. I gave the cashier the Target coupon policy and showed her what the policy said. She looked at it like it was from mars and said she would have to call the manager.<br />

The manager came over and he said that he could not take the coupon. I showed him the coupon policy and explained the same thing to him as I had the cashier. He said they were not suppose to adjust the coupon down. I reminded him and pointed out that there policy states they do. Then he told me he had to call his manger because he could not take it. By this time I was like OMG are you are kidding me. I explained to that manger that Target was the only store I have ever had problems using coupons and told him I never had problems anywhere else. Well he acted as if he could care less, as we waited for his manager to come. All this time I was keeping cool trying to make them understand what there own policy was.<br />

A couple minuets later a female manager arrived. The cashier and other manager told her what was going on. She then proceeded to tell me I could not use the coupon. Again I told her the same thing I had already told the other manager and cashier. I attempted to show her the coupon policy which she refused to look at. She told me to hold on a minuet and walked away. She went over to another register and did something and came back. Then she explained to me that they were not suppose to do this that she would allow it just this one time. I replied how can you guys do this when your policy clearly states that you will adjust the coupon down. I guess she got mad when I asked her because from that point on things went down hill. The manger started huffing and puffing and told the cashier to take the coupon, when the cashier went to adjust the coupon the manager changed her mind and said she was not going to honor the coupon after all. I said well fine then you can remove the items from my order. Then I told the manger this will be the last time I shop here, that I did not appreciate them not honoring there own coupon policy. She said well good! Then she said that I could have used only one coupon anyway, not all three because the coupon clearly states it is a limit of one per purchase. I calmly explained to her that is not what that means. I told her that it is one coupon PER ITEM, not per purchase. Then she told me in a hateful tone that I needed to read Targets coupon policy and walked away.<br />

Not only did this manager belittle me she lost a customer for life. I am not going to bother calling corporate because I can never get anyone on the phone. I will no longer post Target deals on my blog, I am not going to endorse or advertise a store that treats customers so badly.<br />

During this whole time while all this was going on my husband said he was surprised at how calm I was. Because of the attitude the manager gave me and how she treated me. It is so sad to see how Target does not care about how they treat there customers. I have never had any problems, any where I have shopped except Target. I have worked in the customer service industry for over 16 years. My motto was the customer is always right and you do what you can to make the customer happy. You don't belittle them and make them feel stupid. Big store's tend to forget it's people like us who keep them in business. </font><br />
<br />
I just e-mailed corporate, I doubt they will even respond.</div>

We've just been pounded every single day with new cases (it's a service industry).  Usually, we'll get busy, then things will slow down and we can get caught up and then it gets busy again but not this month.  It has not stopped all month.  So other work is piling up on my desk because I start doing one thing, get interrupted and have to focus on another thing. As a result, I come in every morning and by the time I leave in the evening, I have accomplished nothing. <br />
<br />
Today I felt like I hit the wall.  I just feel like I'm fried.  I'm at a point where I can't think anymore and I'm just mentally tired. I need a break.  <br />
<br />
I know I shouldn't complain because I do have a job and so many other people do not.</div>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div>I feel almost silly complaining about my job because I love my job, I love my co-workers and I have the best boss ever!! But we have been so darned busy since November started I'm ready to tear my hair out.  <br />

We've just been pounded every single day with new cases (it's a service industry).  Usually, we'll get busy, then things will slow down and we can get caught up and then it gets busy again but not this month.  It has not stopped all month.  So other work is piling up on my desk because I start doing one thing, get interrupted and have to focus on another thing. As a result, I come in every morning and by the time I leave in the evening, I have accomplished nothing. <br />
<br />
Today I felt like I hit the wall.  I just feel like I'm fried.  I'm at a point where I can't think anymore and I'm just mentally tired. I need a break.  <br />
<br />
I know I shouldn't complain because I do have a job and so many other people do not.</div>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div>Just want to groan about the threads that ask how many ______ you have (Target Baby Wipes, Glade Candles, Walgreens Register Rewards, Almay makeup, ETC) because I **really** wonder about whether some of these companies that are giving us these deals are aware of the HUGE numbers that some people are getting and look for ways to crack down on couponers because of it.  I'm NOT bashing stockpiling because I feel I understand it to a certain extent.  I am wondering how it looks to the stores who do NOT understand stockpiling.  I feel like it doesn't look good at all.  I wonder if these types of threads really belong here but even if they were disallowed, I know there are plenty of other places where they large numbers of freebies are openly discussed so maybe it wouldn't make any difference if we quit doing it here.</div>

We had to move because we had a stalker that would not leave us alone. We moved them got sued by the owner of the property because of the damage the stalker did. (the manager let the mother of the stalker move in), then all the bills came tumbling down on us. I lost a job, the rent went up by $300.<br />
<br />
So with all this we had to decide whether to continue to struggle or stop paying the credit cards. Well we stopped paying the cards. In the last year the phone has not stopped ringing. I have sued the collection agencies for harassment and have won 2 cases so far.<br />
Now I have this one company that keeps calling(i have since given their name and information to my lawyer). They called again last night and made me feel like a low life and a dead beet because i could not pay them.<br />
They kept asking what my income was and if i was working (which is illegal).<br />
They said that if i was seriously wanting to settle this I would set up some type of payment plan, and i told them if i don't have the money to pay you, then why would i set up a payment plan.<br />
Then they kept telling me that they take post dated payments, again i told them if i don't have the money to pay you, then why would i set up a post dated payment.<br />
<br />
It just has been to much, for 1 family to go through.<br />
Then they proceed to tell me that this is being report to all 3 credit agencies and that it would prevent me from getting any credit in the future, i told them that i didn't want any credit.<br />
The lady on the phone said, why? Is it because you will not pay the bill?<br />
<br />
That made me feel lower than trailer trash. Sometimes i feel like crawling in a big whole and letting each creditor take a shovel and just pour dirt of me.<br />
<br />
Sorry this is so long, I just had to vent a little. I don't like talking to my hubby sometimes about it, because he tells me I know and then tries to change the subject.<br />

They have a couple of cashiers who do not know what htey are doing and the store manager is ALWAYS grumpy. Even when I am just watching him pass by me in the store he is a grump. However, I was under a time crunch and decided to stop by anyway. I was getting 3 lubriderm and 1 ricola and 3 garland strands ($1 each). I get to checkout and the cashier whom I have had issues with before is there. She freezes at the mere sight of coupons. She is new, so I figure she will get the hang of it. I check out and all is well. I wait for my RRs to print - $8 from lubriderm and $1 from Ricola. Nothing happens. after a good wait, I ask the cashier if the machine is working. She goes, "oh, no. It hasn't been printing all day." and turns away to go back to talking to the next customer. My first thought was "how many people haven't gotten RRs when they were suppose to and WHY did she turn away and completely ignore the fact that I am owed RRs?" I ask her what I am suppose to do. She calls a manager. Guess who comes aorund.. Mr Grump. I tell him what happened and he asks for my reciept and the products. Ok. He tells me that I don't get the RRs because i used coupons. Um, no. I still get them. Then he tells me he isn't going to PAY me to shop there when I only paid $2 and some change. He isn't going to just GIVE me $9. This is where we start going round and round. I am nice until someone is completely rude to me. I kept my cool, but was insistant on something being done and that I AM suppose to get my RRs. I tell him that they didn't print because the machine is down. He says the machine is working. I say no, that it didn't print either RR (he focused on the lubriderm cause it was an $8RR and that was more than my OOP). He said that it wasn't printing for some items, but it wasn't broken. Um, if it's not printing RRs, then is IT in fact broken! I said, fine, then I'd like to just return everything. He, of course, tells me he is only going to give me the $2 and change I paid out of pocket and NOT the $10 RR I used! Um, no sir. I tell him I wanted my RR back and that I wasn't going to lose money because their machine isn't printing. He was so rude.... Anyway, he walks away for a bit to go to the register I checked out at (we were at the beauty counter as to not hold up the line at the front). He comes back and gives me the RR and says he voided the transaction. I asked him if I could get a receipt or something showing that my money will be put back into my bank account, some sort of record and will my $10RR still work if I try to use it again. He got smart with me (again) and said that there was no receipt and that I will have to wait a few days before my money gets back into my account. I again ask if I will be able to use the $10RR. he got rude, again, and said something to the effect of "I don't know, you'll have to find out when you use it". and says he has other customers to help. I said "don't you think you should finish with one customer before going to another?". at this point, a customer walks behind me and stops to watch us. strange. he them engages that customer and starts basicly asking her if he was handling the situation well :rolleyes2: The customer then tells me that I was being rude. whatever. I politely tell her "I'm sorry mam, but you just walked up and have not been here from the beginning and saw the way he has been treating me." She again told me I was rude and she doesn't like me. LOL. I told her "sorry. that's fine, you don't have to like me". back to the manager, I ask him what walgreens customer service number was. he tells me he doens't know. I was like "you are the store manager and you don't know?" he says "no, I handle all of the customer service issues and I've never had a complaint". I highly doubt that! he's been rude to me before and I never said anything. he is NOT coupon friendly and got himself all in a tissy one time because I wanted to use 2 RRs in one transaction. :rolleyes2: So, anyway. I tell him that is fine, I can get it on my own. I wrote down his name and left. .. .. on a wing and a prayer I get my money back in my bank account and my $10 RR is still valid. I called customer service and put in a nice complaint about this manager. A customer service supervisor is suppose to call me within 2 days. BTW, the customer service number he didn't know even though he is a store manager is 1800walgreens... SO hard to remember that! :rolleyes2:<br />

VERY long story short, I had to walk away from a CARTFULL of toys intended for Toys 4 Tots because manager did not know the store's Price Match policy.  She refused to do the ad match and I didn't have the printed policy with me.  <br />

And don't even get me started on the nasty comment about "oh and she has all these coupons too"<br />
<br />
WARNING!!!  Do yourself a favor and print copies of their coupon and price match policy.  They have no idea what they're doing!  <br />
<br />
An email to corporate and a phone call to the store manager resulted in zip.</div>
