We had quite the adventure yesterday with our smoke alarms malfunctioning. With the help of a neighbor and her very tall ladder, we finally got everything fixed up. It's always something, isn't it?

We did manage to get to the new farmer's market at the end of the road and got some lovely produce and also some seafood fresh from the Gulf. So that was dinner instead of the spaghetti I had planned. We'll have the spaghetti tonite.

It's 62 with a high of 82 and mostly sunny. I'm hoping for a quiet day on the lanai with just me, my hubby, and the palm trees. :wink:

Our meeting did go long yesterday afternoon so we went out for pizza. Very tasty. Following that theme, for some reason I'm craving spaghetti. So good old homemade spaghetti for us tonite.

I've discovered there's a new farmer's market setting up just down the road so I'll be sure to check that out today. We're looking at a high of 82 today. Lovely.

It's 64 and partly sunny, going to 85 later. Beautiful day for the top down on my little red Bug. We did lots of shopping yesterday and I saved big time at Target. Love those sales.

We ended up with stuffed peppers (Stouffer's) last nite. I was pretty tired after my shopping spree. Tonite we're having something easy again as we've got an association meeting that doesn't start til 3:30 and who knows how long it will last? Maybe we'll just go out for a pizza.

I make a RumRunner's Pecan Pie and the seriously traditional Pumpkin Pie.

However...these are all 'not standard' recipes. I don't wanna disappoint. Any tips? Think I should keep it traditional?

It's 60 degrees now with a high of 80 this afternoon. The weatherman says mostly sunny so I'm guessing that means no rain.

I'll be working on the laundry and a bit of tidying up this morning.Then I plan to settle down with my book. Unless, I decide to head to Super Target for those fabulous sales, of course. We'll see.

Dinner will be smoked pork chops, mashed rutabagas with onion and butter, and the last of the green beans. SF orange jello with peaches for dessert.

Heavenly days! It's 59 now with a high of 75 and no humidity. Beautiful day to be on the lanai if I can get a minute. Today will be very busy, though. First of all, there's an Arts & Crafts show at the clubhouse this morning. Never know what goodies you might find from such talented people.

And then I've invited two of our favorite couples for a very casual dinner at our house tonite. They're bringing appetizers and dessert so I'll bake some Bachelor Chicken and make a pot of green beans/potatoes. Fresh sliced tomatoes and a nice big salad and we're good to go. Wish you all could come!
