Ok, yesterday I got an email that ended up in the junk box so since I was looking for a secret shopper job a while back...I opened it and they wanted to offer me a job/needed some info like full name, address, telephone# and such...not ss# I won't give that out. But, today I got an e-mail for an "assigment"...here's the thing one the of the jobs is at a money gram and I really don't feel good about this...they said that they will send me the money to cover everything and when I get it I can cash it and then do the job. I have seen/heard a lot of scams like this. They said that they have been getting complaints...blah, blah, blah about the company and they want me to check it out, but I can choose whichever one is closes to me - wouldn't it be better if this was true for me to go to the location that's been getting the complaints so that I can verify if is indeed true? This all sounds fishy...they say that the pay is $200 for this, that seems like a lot for secret shopper, don't you think? The name of the company is aboutface? Never heard of them...what do you all think? Bogus, right? Wings Restaurant (Dinner) - Any age. Up to 15.00 reimbursement. 5.00 additional for reporting time.
Sporting Goods/Clothing Store - Ages 50 and under. Up to 30.00 shopping spree reimbursement.
Movie Theater - Any age. Up to 38.00 reimbursement for two. Plus 5.00 for reporting time.
Night Club - Ages 21 and over.

I did everything right, except I inadvertantly purchased a candle holder, but I was supposed to buy a candle! Ugh...where's my head?

Anyway, the mystery shop company stated that I did a good job on the report except for the purchase part, so they invalidated my shop and I won't get paid.
