Problem with wild blackberries (other than the thorns!) is that it is a natural resting place for chiggers. The best repellent we've ever found is Skin-So-Soft orginal bath oil by Avon. We wear long sleeves and long pants (yes even though it is always hot summer) and slather the oil on our ankles and wrists. Presto! No chigger bites!</div>
