Well I didn't totally do this on purpose last night, but it works! Unfortunately my camera died and I got a new cell phone, so I'm not sure how I can upload a picture on here yet, but I will try some different techniques and hopefully have one soon! In the meantime, this is what I did: 1 Clearance t-shirt = 0.64 1 Champion t 7.99 - $5 Champion TQ = 2.99 1 pair clearance flip flops = 1.74 2 jars Hellmanns $5.98 - (2) .75 mailer Qs - (2) .50TQs = 3.48 2 Wishbone dressings $3.98 - $1/2 mailer Q - (2) .75 TQs = 1.48 4 Campbell's Select Harvest Soups $6.00 - (4)$1 IPs = $2 2 Pace Salsa $7.38 - (2) Free Qs (Pace online game) = 0 1 Sobe $1 - (1) Free (Heads or tails game) = 0 1 Lactaid $2.99 - (1) $1 IP = $1.99 1 Degree Deodorant $2.44 - $1 mailer Q - $1TQ = .44 1 Q-tips $2.99 - $1TQ = $1.99 2 Suave Shampoos 1.98 - .50 mailer Q - (2) .75 Target Q = 0 2 8ct BIC Mechanical Pencils $2.40 - $1/2 IP - $1/2 TQ = .40 SUBTOTAL $19.13 TAX $0.71 TOTAL $19.84 Not bad for $20! Receipt says I saved $31.66, but in reality I saved more because the clearance t-shirt was originally $5 and the flip flops originally $6 which don't show up on the receipt as those prices. $19.84/$61.79 = 32% or a 68% savings. ![]() ![]() Grr just looked at my receipt and two of the $1Qs were missed. And the cashier went very slowly, so I'm not sure how they were missed! Oh well! Still not bad for $20. Last edited by beckaanne; 09-19-2010 at 06:41 PM. Reason: Added second picture! |

I did really good at Kroger yesteday. I bought: 28 cans of Van Camp pork & beans = 10/$10 - (28) $.50 off 1 (doubled) = $0 10 bottles of Shamrock Farms milk = 10/$10 (used a rain check) - (10) $.50 off 1 (doubled) = $0 3 Simple Asia sauce = $1.99 each - (3) $.50 off 1 (doubled) = $.99 each 1 frozen Kroger broccoli = $.88 I spent a total of $1.47 on everything but that included a $3 oyno coupon. So, net cost was $4.47. I ended up having to go to 2 different Kroger stores, one of them twice, and do 3 different transactions. The first store didn't have the Van Camp beans marked and they were ringing up full price. I didn't see them in the ad, so I didn't get them, I just got the milk. The second store had the beans marked but didn't have many left. At the second store, I noticed that they were in the ad, so I went back to the first store and they were ringing up right... ahh! I also realized that I had a $3 oyno expiring yesterday, so I had to spend it on something. Still a great deal, even if it was a little bit stressful. I saved $63.93! This wasn't my best Rite Aid shop by any means, but the first one since this contest started. I bought the following items: 1 Box of Tampax on sale for 2.99 3 Gillette Men's Bodywashes - $4 each, so $12 3 Gillette deodorants - $4 each, so $12 4 Old Spice Fresh Collection deodorants - $4 each, so $16 2 Secret deodorants - $4 each, so $8 My total came to $50.99 Then I used the following coupons: 5.00 Rite Aid $5 off $25 purchase 1.00 Tampax 6.00 3 Gillette deodorant coupons for $2 each 8.00 2 coupons to get free Secret wyb 2 Old Spice FS deos 12.00 3 coupons to get free Gillette BW wyb Gillette deodorant --------------- 32.00 5.00 Up Rewards from the week before ------------- 37.00 So, my "after coupon" subtotal came to $11.93 plus tax of 2.30 = $14.23 I paid with my $10 Oral Care gift card and owed 4.23 oop. However, since the Up Reward and gift card count like cash I actually spent $19.23. I will get a $1 Single Check Rebate on the Tampax, AND I received a $15 Up Reward, so that brings my total down to $3.23. Also, I will send my receipt off to Proctor and Gamble to get their Everyday Savings booklet of coupons worth $110.

| Giant shopping Trip
Here is what I bought at Giant this week: 13 boxes of Krusteaz Pancake Mix (2 Belgian Waffle, 5 Blueberry, and 6 Buttermilk) Dozen donuts The cost without coupons would have been $22. I spent $5.50. Here is how I did it: The pancake mix is normally 2.29 but was on sale for $1.50 a box. I had 3 coupons from Sunday inserts for .50 each that double at Giant. My initial purchase for 3 boxes cost $4.50 - $3 in coupons = $1.50 oop. I then received 2 Catalina coupons "compliments of Krusteaz" for $1 off my next purchase. So, on my next trip I bought 2 boxes of mix for $3 and paid with my $2 Catalinas, plus $1 cash. That brought my total oop to $2.50. I then repeated this proces 3 more times, so spent $3 more, bringing my total to $5.50. On my final trip I got 2 more boxes and a dozen donuts. The donuts are normally $2.50, but the bakery made too many so they had a coupon on them to take $1.50 off, and they cost $1. In the end I spent $7.50, but since I still have $2 in catalinas for my next shopping trip, that brings my total down to $5.50. Had I bought everything when it was not on sale it would have cost $32.27. BUT if I had been able to get my hands on more Krusteaz coupons before the sale ended yesterday, it would have all been free.
