Watched this after Little Miss Sunshine............it was alright. Had some kind of funny parts. My DD (12) thought it was funny. Wouldn't want to see it again. Did any of you like it?

I have "Ray" coming next. I'm excited about that, cause I've wanted to see it for a long time. My friend and I are going to see "Dream Girls" Fri.

Ray is great but long be prepared to watch for a while. Jamie Fox showed serious talent with this movie.


Does Nacho Libre have cursing, sex, etc? My 7 and 8 yo want to watch this but we don't usually do PG-13 for them. Any thoughts?

We have MI-3 in for tonight. Not excited but it will do.

I'm not sure you want your 7 & 8 yr. old watching it. My 8 yr. old was in the room playing his Nintendo DS.....and left. I was half paying attention cause I was filling in my 2007 calendar.........but it's probably for kids a little older than 8. My opinion though. My daughter is used to my sudden outbursts of "COVER YOUR EYES"......AND THEN ME SINGING OVER THE TALKING! (that was while trying to let her watch other movies with me!!)

We will pass for a while. They usually don't even ask but the commercials were EVERYWHERE when it came out.

Nacho Libre I hated....And My Super Ex Girl Friend is not that great but really not for kids -too much bed action-not really sex scenes but that's what they are meaning that they are doing in the bed. And Talladega Nights just plain silly. Just watched The Devil Wears Prada pretty good-in a Pretty Woman kind of way.

Yeah, I loved The Devil Wears Prada! Not the typical movie you always see. Meryl Streep is so good!

SG, I would have no problem with my 7 and 8 yo watching Nacho Libre.
However, I am not too sure they would be that interested, to be honest ...

Nacho Libre was actually one of the more disappointing movies of the year for me ... not that it was horrible or anything. I just had really high hopes for it ... I mean, how could you go wrong when you pair "the guy that directed Napoleon Dynamine" with Jack Black? Well, the only thing really funny about the movie ended up being watching Jack Black prance around in tights, occasionally stopping to mug for the camera. It definitely should have been better!

I don't remember anything at all that would be considered offensive in it (maybe it's just my memory failing me), but for your kids, I'm just not sure there'd be much in it for them.

My kids love it. They just thought was super funny when they were getting hurt. I on the otherhand thought it was super boreing. I wouldnt let my kids watch talladega nights I found it kinda racey for them to be watching.
