Duane Reade is seperate from CVS I don't think CVS owns it.
Duane Reade is like the CVS in New York City. There is one literally within walking distance of almost every train station in Manhattan.
They are not as good as CVS just more convienent (sp) and depending on the area in which the Duare Reade is their clearance section can be really great.
Duane Reade does have a rewards program, in which for every dollar you spend you receive a point, for every 100 points your receipt will print out a $5 coupon good for anything in the store BUT is only good for two weeks
Some of their sales are like 3/$10 Herbal Essence and you will get 25 bonus points, or something like that.

I rarely do this well at duane reade. I stumbled upon this one on my way home one evening and I needed milk. I noticed they had a one portion of a small wall just for clearance, when I asked a worker if I could use the $5 off coupon towards the clearance items - he said of course. As long as my total w/o tax came out to more than $5. So now I save my $5 coupons and when I am ready to spend it I go there to their clearance wall and racks.
