I guess that's not too big of a surprise considering it was in the paper for .75 after $5/ 10 sale and the .50 coupons aren't too old but thought i would post about it anyway. I did like the prices of things on this sale but when 2 of the items didn't come through as being on the sale it threw off my whole order (I thought I had 30 when actually I had 28 that "qualified". It was a hassle with the customer service person because he insisted there was nothing he could do to change it so I went to get 2 more items and was going to return the other items and have them rerung (with my coupons). He thought it would be too much work so just gave me the $5 back. I still paid a lot for some SoBe drink but at least that part was taken care of. Coupons and signs can be so difficult sometimes.

There was a coupon on smartsource.com a couple of days ago for 75 cents off Halls. I don't know if it is still there though. (Do they go away after you print them?) They didn't scan, but the lady gave me the money off. So I got four packs for free!

I agree about coupons being complicated sometimes. I went to Jewel tonight and did the cereal deal and the cats that I was supposed to get didn't print b/c the cat machine was jammed. Also I had several coupons for free stuff which the cashier didn't put in right. I told her that and she corrected it. However, it looks like she gave me more money than I should have gotten. She also gave me back q's that she said didn't scan but did and she also forgot to ring one. I looked at the receipt and was so confused. I think it all came out about right and I ended up giving the service desk the q's that she scanned but gave back to me. A bit of hassle, but it is well worth it for cheep stuff!

That's cool that you got yours for free. I've seen some good coupons for smartsource but haven't signed up for it because I thought it had a lot of extra ads and stuff that you have to get through. Free is good. So sad that coupons have to make things harder. I wish I could just say "I'm a couponer... save the time clipping coupons and they would give me an instant discount instead. Kind of like a senior discount, . It woudl save so much work. But you're right, it's still worth it once you see the savings.

I'm all for the instant coupon discount. Maybe you should market the idea to all the major companies! I see you are from Aurora. I taught at West Aurora for a semester. I am actually going to go back and visit my kids there when the weather gets nicer.

paperless coupon is what I'm waiting for. no more clipping! hehe I'm thinking about something like where couponers go online. click on coupons "select all" and then load them up to a plastic card that scans like a credit card. So at check out we scan it and that will deduct our savings wouldnt that just be great!

They have that already. It's at shortcuts.com. The problem is that none of the stores in IL participate and you can only use ONE coupon per item thus far, nothing more. I'm waiting for this idea to spread and grow too. Won't that be nice?
