I remember seeing a $1/1 coupon from a while ago (probably from after the other peanut butter scare).

Yep, they take expired. I have it clipped so don't know the insert.

Just Monday I asked the Store Manager (Mt. Prospect) and she said they do indeed take expired coupons. I asked how old and she said "any expired, but please don't bring in coupons from 1985". And yes, she said some people do indeed show up with coupons from 1985 and older.

I'm guessing at some point if it's abused they can and will change their policy.
So be reasonable. It's quite generous of them, yes they need the business but they don't have to take expired coupons.

This is also on sale at Safeways on the East Coast. I got mine yesterday with the .50 off coupon that was printed on newsprint from the Washington Post . It was issued during the height of the peanut butter salmonella scare. Mine was .49 as well.
