Chicagoland Dominicks Deal this weekend

Hi,
I hope it is okay that I post this here. I know that some of you that visit this forum shop at Dominick, as well. Wondering if any of you will be taking advantage of this weeks deals if you could post your scenario. Since this catalina is a bit different from Jewels - I am a bit confused.
Thanks...

I am going to try and get there this weekend, hopefully tomorrow..I don't have a scenario yet, because I don't know prices or which items have coupons!! I may be taking a run over there today to get some more info.

there is a list of items included in the promo online...go check out this thread on AFC..

I just read on another site that some of the items on the list that is posted in the Chill Out thread are NOT included in this sale. So, make sure you look for the Chill OUt tag in the freezer section.

Also, to get your total up to $50 to use the 10/50 coupon, be sure to use your free coupons. For example, I have the Free Suave coupon, the Kraft free coupons for cheese, nuts, and crackers...

Also you will save $5 Instantly when you use your club card to purchase 2 Gorton's Items (14 - 24.5 oz) & 2 Ore-Ida Frozen Potatoes. Be sure to deduct the $5.00 from your total. If you have $50 worth before the instant savings, your total will fall to $45, therefore making the $10/50 coupon useless. So make sure you get your total to $55 or more! HTH

I was going to mention the soup for .88 but then I remembered that most of you are all souped out from the Conagra deal. I did find a good price on the canned mushrooms Safeway brand. They were only .29 each. We were talking to the cashier though and she said a lot of the prices on the clearance depend on who is pricing them that day so you never know what you're going to find.

You could use your free coupon from the Home Made Simple (I don't remember what it's called exactly) for the free Cascade Rinse agent. I believe the shelf price is 4.99 so after coupon it would come right off. But I'm new at this so I have no idea if it would fit into your plans.

It was that booklet in the mail with all the swiffer coupons and the Cascade items. I believe it was from P&G.

I have to admit I'm going for stuff I want and almost saying to hades with the price.

Oscar Mayer Deli Creations
  • On sale for $2.50 less $1.00 when you buy 5 - going to get 15 of these - I'm hoping the $2.50 counts toward the $50 and not the $1.50.
  • Shrimp something to total $10
  • And I'm sure I'll find something to total $50

So 15 *$1.50 = $22.50
Shrimp $10.00
Something for $2.50
Then use the $10 off $50
Plus use $10 shrimp WT

So I'll be OOP $15 but I'll have 15 lunches, something else and the shrimp.

I gotta get me some Deli Creations!!!!

Oh, I also have two other $10 off $50 Qs that were mailed to me so I'm sure I'll figure out how to use those too. Plus I have a $30 off new/transferred Rx and I have one to transfer so I'll have a GC.

OK - my OOP won't be too bad.

UnO I really do not know. I just found a post card in my mail box about it. Tomorrow is my last day with it!! I had it for the month of February. I may go do this deal again. I do not have any more save a $1.00 on any Gortons shrimp though. So, It would be $7.76 still not a bad deal.

I case you didn't know and didn't see my other post on Ragu thread, there's a $5 onya at Dominicks. Buy 5 oscar meyer products and get $5 onya, so you'd get $15 back from your scenario provided it'll stack on one order.

Actually it is a $5 instant - that's why the price was $1.50 instead of $2.50

I did it - I just wandered in there and got me some Deli Creations!

Somehow I knew what I had planned wasn't going to work and it didn't - but someone else posted about the free dishwasher rinse agent and that saved me.

I was seriously beginning to panic when the running total was $80 - how on earth could my calculations have been so wrong? At any rate the cashier hits a button and the total goes down to $40. Uh oh. Never fear - this is where the dishwasher rinse agent comes in - that takes the total to 50+ So the $10 off $50 comes off after all of your products have been rung in and they hit subtotal but before MFQ.

Also I was tired and handed the coupons to the cashier in the wrong order. She pulled the $10 off $50 and told me - you have to use this one first so your order doesn't go below $50. What a sweetheart.

Here's what I ended up doing.

20 * $1.50 Deli Creations - that's the price after the instant discount
1 * $11.98 Shrimp
2 * $4.99 Rinse Agent
plus some bananas
less $10 shrimp WT
less $4.99 X2 free rinse agent
less $2 cat (from the Jewel Water deal)
less $10 off $50

At full price everything would have been about $95, but I paid around $22. So I figure I paid $1 per lunch and I'm good until the next "great deal". I would have bought more, but the expiry dates are max 6 weeks. Anyone every try freezing these?

As an aside - I was wandering looking for Qs and I came across the free heart health screening table. There was a brochure on the table that said $25 coupons inside. Here's a thread that discusses them: http://www.afullcup.com/forums/safew...harmacy+coupon

They are only good until tomorrow, but they may help you out with something.

Two more things to add

1) Don't forget that Dominick's participates in the P&G easy saver program so you can load those coupons on your Dominick's card and double dip (but of course everybody is buying P&G at Jewel this week)

2) I have a few (say 15) $2/2 Haagen Dazs ice cream coupons. I'm allergic to something in it and I don't think I should feed it to my 8mo. It is part of the freezer deal and on sale for 2/$7 so 2/$5 after Q. If you are in the NW suburbs, planning on buying Haagen Dazs and would like a couple let me know. Obviously there isn't time to mail, but we could do an in person exchange. I'm happy with a RAOK, but if you happen to have any current or expired Silk Soy or 8th Continent I'd be eternally grateful.
