Hi guys!!

I posted this here since there isn't an official dominick's forum!

If you didn't notice, there was a $10/$50 coupon in this weeks Dominick's sales ad. The sale ends on Weds. I haven't shopped at Dominick's in the longest time, so I may go there just to use this coupon!

Anyone else shop at Dominick's? Do you like this store?

They list Dominick's as Safeway.

I used to go there all the time but once Safeway took over and ruined the store with super high prices I stopped, so did everyone else around here because they ended up closing the store for good.

I actually went to the one by my MIL yesterday and it was 100 times smaller then ours used to be and it was packed with people buying the soda that was buy 4 for only $7.99. It was so crazy busy there that I got frustrated because the shelves where empty that we left.

I have 1 real close but rarely go there.They seem to have higher prices even with their sales.I go there often in summer since my dd plays softball on a field that is next door.

the dominicks by me is nice and organized. yes i use to shop there but stopped when they stop taking ips. it is pricier now. even with the $10/$50 i'm not sure if i want to go.

I worked there around 10 years ago right when it was transitioning from Dominick's to Safeway. I agree, they kept trying to change things and remodel and all they did was raise the prices (and was shocked too when they wouldn't take my IP's). I don't go there too often but my sister loves the store and managed to find a couple good things with her $10/$50 coupon. They had the chunky soups for $1, some reduced price meat, and the Glade 4oz. candles were a good price with coupons. I can't remember what else she got but it actually surprised me how much she picked up for $60 (considering she is not a couponer and the store was crazy busy). I'd say give it a try but be prepared with the coupons too. They do accept expired as far as I know unless that has been changed too. One thing though is that they wouldn't let me use my coupons on the clearance items because it rang up as 999 and not the actual item.

Thanks for the info. I wanted to go there because they have the Campbell's Chunky soup on sale for .99 and I just found some $1.00/1 coupons for this stuff! So, hopefully get it for free! If I go I am going to check out the meat and candles. Boy that is a strange combo!!

i went on Sunday for their sale and though the store was as packed as i've ever seen it i walked away with $110.00 worth of stuff for $45.00 after coupons!!
my best fiend went and spent $22 on $70 worth of stuff
the cashier said that i was the first she seen all day who used THAT many coupons along with the coupons that were in their flyer.. i guess the sale promted a rush of ppl who didnt plan ( or have as many coupons)

Wow, those are great trips! I stopped there yesterday and did ok. I picked up some of the bread that was on sale, the soup, chips, and crackers. I save about 60%. But, then after I got home I realized that 5 of the loaves weren't on sale..$20.00 for 5 loaves of bread!! So back to the store!

I was going to try and get there on Sunday, for the free pizza and the pepsi sale, but just couldn't make it. After spending so much time in line at Jewel, I just ran out of steam!

A new Dominick's forum is up. Someone already posted the $1 sale items. I was gonna post them too because I got my flyer yesterday but she beat me to it. GDA Kellogg's Pop Tarts, $1 for 8.

Yea, I asked them to start a forum, then they reminded me Dom. is a safeway store! So she just linked the Dom. to Safeway.

But I am not liking Dom right now...

I agree that their prices are sky-high, but they do have a FABULOUS meat-markdown bin at the one I go to. Course, you have to hit it at the right time and I can never seem to remember what day is the best - LOL!

When I first moved here I didn't know a thing about Q's, sales, promos, etc and I went shopping there and spent $200 for less than a week's worth of groceries! I freaked out because it's the closest store to me and I wasn't sure how we'd afford $800/mo in groceries for a family of 3. Lo and behold I found this wonderful place and now life is good again
