What did everyone get today?

Here's what I got today:

4 nivea lotions @ 2.50 each - 2.00 coupons
4 snuggle fabric sheets @1.00 each -.50 coupons
3 crave cat treats @ 1.45 each -1.00 coupons
1 6 roll bounty papertowels @ 5.00 -1.00 coupon

Total with tax was $7 something. Not too bad

My bus broke down today(stupid radiator)took until 11:30 for me to get home when normally I would've been home by 8:30.so I knew when I was going that anything I wanted was going to be a long shot.
No Nivea hand cream
No secret deodorant
And only 2 bottles of Pantene shampoo left
Really needed conditioner but none left : (
So grabbed the 2 bottles of pantene and called it a day before something else went wrong.which did....note to self learn buttons on spare bus before using.

Everytime i go to dollar general i have an issue with the $5/$25. It takes cents off every item so the rephresh for example would have money taken off of it due to that coupon. With the $1 coupon i would use, it would beep and they say that they can not do it since it is more than the product in hand. Is there something i could do or tell them about to make them aware of it. Does your store lower the price of the coupon so there is no overage. Like if the $5/$25 took 15 cents off, the dollar coupon for the product would be lowered to 85 cents. I am so confused because every store around here does it differently.

The RepHresh Qs from the box scan for me so the full amount is deducted. When they do not scan, my store will take off the amount they can take for the discounted item and then the balance off of an item that doesn't have an MQ for it. Other stores will only take off the discounted amount.

It's up to the store and the DG coupon policy is ambiguous about the issue only stating that they will not give actual cash back. It used to say that the overage MAY be applied to the rest of your order. It's going to depend on the interpretation of their policy by each store.

Basically they can adjust down so you can get the item free and if they won't and the manager is of no help I'd call corp.
