If anyone gets their red plums early, here's a plan for you. There is/will be a $2 wisk. It's on sale for $4. Buy 6. $24. Buy one $1 tbonz dog treats. $1. Use $5/25, 6 $2 wisk (if there's no limit on the q) and 1 $1 tbonz. Get 6 detergents and one dog treats for $7!

Updated 6/23/11 Dollar General is pleased to accept Manufacturer’s Coupons and Dollar General Store Coupons at any of our more than 9,500 stores. These coupons come from a variety of sources, including, but not limited to, newspapers, magazines, print-at-home (internet), direct mail, product packaging, and in-store coupon boxes. Our coupon requirements are as follows: Dollar General accepts Manufacturer’s and Dollar General issued coupons (Including internet coupons) that meet these requirements: 1.Coupons must be original (no photocopies) 2.Coupons must have a scan-able barcode or valid promotion code 3.Coupons must have a printed expiration date 4.Coupons can be redeemed only for items sold at Dollar General, and can be redeemed only for the exact same item (package weight, size, etc.) 5.Coupons for free items are only accepted if a purchase is required to get one free 6.Maximum of two coupons per item. One coupon must be a Manufacturer’s Coupon and the second coupon must be a Dollar General Coupon as long as neither coupon states that it is not valid with other coupons Dollar General will NOT accept coupons that: 1.Are from other retailers 2.Are expired 3.Are internet coupons without a scan-able barcode and/or promotion code 4.Contain the combination of an invalid barcode that won’t scan and promotion code that the register will not accept 5.Are for “free” items, unless a purchase is required (i.e. Buy one get one free is acceptable) 6.Do not have a “remit to:” address on the coupon In addition:“Cash Back” will not be issued if the value of the coupon is greater than I have used more than 1 DG coupon in a transaction , and the DM I spoke with said you can use as many as you like , just scan them first before other coupons Last edited by sicily01; 03-23-2012 at 07:52 AM. |

What she's was trying to say is when using other dollar general coupons with the $5/$25 the total has to be $25 after using other dollar general coupons.the register won't take any other dg coupon after the $5/$25.it WILL take manufacturers coupons after the $5/$25 but not another dollar general coupon. Any other time you can stack a dg with a manu, but not with the $5/$25,just trying to help hopefully I just didn't confuse more .There used to be someone on here that was management at dg and figured this out for us.

Actually though I'm a bit worried about the new fine print on the IP version of the $5/$25 coupons, has anyone else noticed they've been changed to say to scan the Manufacturer coupons before the $5/$25 coupon? It even says "apply manufacture coupons, if any" on the step 3 instruction for the cashier, after they've scanned the $5/$25. The receipt doesn't seem to have this new exclusion though. Saturday's starting to look a little less promising...

Does the $25 total have to be after they scan all your manufacturers' coupons?

Your purchase starts at $25 before taxes if any Then give your $5 off $25 dollar general coupon Then your manufacturers coupons

Okay so I'm kind of confused. Do I do it like this? Refill & then starter kit. Refill & then starter kit again. Or do I do. Refill & refill. Starter kit & starter kit?

I have a Dollar General near me but had NO IDEA the deals you could get there! I'm trying it tomorrow with the $5 off $25 coupon. My questions are: Does DG limit the number of DG coupons you can use in a single transaction? Pledge is on sale for $3.50. I want to purchase 4. I have 2-mnfgr coupons for $2/2, printed 4-DG coupons for 1/1. The internet only allows 2 prints from the DG website but my daughter printed 2 and I printed 2, as I will be shopping tomorrow for 2 households. But can I use all 4 in one transaction? Also, their policy says one Dollar General coupon per item....If I have a Dollar General coupon for every item I purchase, can I still use the $5/$25 Dollar General printable coupon or would I have to purchase an extra "filler" item, similar to what I'd have to do at Walgreens?? Thanks for your help! |

I thought so, but I just wanted to double check because the last thing I need to do is give my DG another reason to diss on my coupons

![]() Here's the scoop: Dollar General coupon Policy : http://www2.dollargeneral.com/Custom...on-policy.aspx DGs coupon policy does not prohibit more than one DG store coupon per transaction nor does it expressly prohibit more than one of the same DG store Q per transaction. Some of the DG store Qs state one per transaction, though. The Qs you want to use (pledge) do not have this prohibition; HOWEVER, the registers may not allow more than one type DG store Q per transaction. It comes up on the register as exceeding number of Qs allowed. Some DGs will somehow still accept more than one same store Q, mine will not. Therefore, using more than one of the same store Q per transaction is YMMV. The register allows usage of more than one DG store Q in a transaction as long as they're different. (i.e. Scrubbing Bubbles store Q and Pledge store Q along with corresponding MQs in one transaction is a go!) $5/$25 cannot be used with any other DG store Qs. You may use MQs with them and the $5/$25 is scanned first, then MQs. Makes for some great scenarios with low OOP. HTH |

Every store is so different than the next...I'd rather ask here than be told at the register. Thanks for taking your time to explain it to me. |

I can vouch for the only 1 DG coupon per transaction. Even if your total is high enough to cover the amount over $25. Additional DG coupons just will not scan and cannot be entered manually because the computer just will not take anymore. However, my one amazing store does take them in the form of a refund after the transaction to keep up with competition. I have one really amazing store!

My store had only one Swiffer starter kit left, so I got it and the refill, 4 Planters PB at $3 each plus a clearance 75 cent Item to get to $25. Used the BOGO Swiffer and 4 $1/1 Planters. Oop for all that was $7.31 with tax.

I got a nice deal on glad candles, had a HUGE hassle because some of the coupons have the new bar codes but I have the pretty smelling candles to calm me down! They're $2.50 each Got 10 at $25 -$5/$25 -$2/2 coupon (X5)}$10 = $10 I'm pretty bummed though, the manager told me at the end of the transaction, after much hassle with the coupon, that in the future I need to have $25 worth after coupons. She was very polite about it so I'm thinking she thinks that's what the problem was even though I know it's not. I know that's not a part of the policy but as she's the manager I would think she could enforce that rule at that store and the only other store in the area is a very long bus ride away.

Smoothest transactions I've ever had with the $5/$25. Always have SOME problem, but not this time! Tran 1: 6 Clorox 2 powder @ $2.50 $15 4 All dryer sheets @ $1.50 $6 2 Curad Elmo @ $1 $2 2 Tiny Bonz @ $1 $2 $25 -$5 $5/$25 -$12 4 @ $3 off All and Clorox 2 -$3 2 @ $1.50 off any Clorox 2 -$1 2 @ .50 off any Curad -$2 2 @ $1 off Tiny Bonz Total: $2 plus tax Tran 2 $16 2 @ $8 Swiffer Wet Cloths Refill $9 2 @ $4.50 Swiffer Duster kit $5 5 @ $1 Tiny Bonz $30 -$5/$25 -$16 2 @ $8 BOGO Swiffer kit get Refill free -$5 5 @ $1 off Tiny Bonz Total: $4 plus tax Doing my happy dance. No problems, $5/$25 came off perfectly, Qs scanned without issue - I handed them one at a time and made sure they came off. With tax, I walked out paying around $10.
