2 possible options to help with Family Dollar.
1) print out the Family Dollar coupon policy & take it with you. It is VERY specific about taking $x.xx off coupons that make an item free. They do take them. You can find them in a sticky in this forum.
2) Call corporate customer service. They can call the store directly & educate them.

As far as Dollar General and Walmart, same options. They do take IP's per the Corporate Policy, but their policy is not quite as comprehensive regarding what they take.

I was confused when I went to family dollar I used the olay coupons and the bars of soap rung up at $3.50 when the price was $4.50. Also the swagger body was ticket was $3.85 but rung up &4.00 the cashed fixed it I'm in Ohio so make sure u guys check those prices out

I didn't even think about going to Family Dollar as I was not aware of them accepting coupons. Glad I browsed around this site. In love with AFC. Will totally be stopping by my Family Dollar store and use my $1/1 & $2.50/2 Qs before they expire after today

Just wanted to check out this scenario if it would work or not. Never used coupons at Family Dollar and want to be sure before trying it.

(2) CoverGirl Tweezers - $1 ea.
- (2) $1/1 CoverGirl, ANY (1/1 PG)
(2) CoverGirl Toe Nail Clippers - $1 ea.
- (1) $2.50/2 CoverGirl, ANY (1/1 PG - Would the $.50 overage roll onto the Old Spice or other CoverGirl products or would I need to pick up another CoverGirl product?)
(1) Old Spice Body Wash - $3 (2/$6 but would they allow me to buy one at $3?)
Total: $7 - $6.50 Qs = $.50 + tax OOP

Its after coupons at Family Dollar but before at Dollar General.

It's hit and miss on the covergirl at some stores. I don't know how family dollar deals with overage. They may apply it to the basket or just adjust it down. You shouldnt need to buy another covergirl product for that $2.50/2 to work as long as you have the two products to cover the coupon. Yes, you should get the old spice for $3 if its 2/$6 unless it states otherwise like some drugstores where it will specifically say, 2/$6 or $3.50 each. If it doesn't say something like that then you should get it for $3.

You can't use P&G coupons on the $1 covergirl items as they're not made or distributed by P&G.

Not the op of that reply but that's what I had thought. There is so much question about those, even though we know they can't be used, that they should make sure all involved issue a statement about it.
