Thanks! Yes we moved over here about 3 years ago from St. Louis. It is nice to see someone so close! There aren't many people on these boards in the St. Louis Metro area. No one to share the pain of ...."why don't we get any of those kind of deals?" with ; ) I wish we could get double coupons up to a $1.00 like my mom in OK or triple coupons $.39 and under and then double to $.50 and be able to use ecoupons on top of that like at Krogers in the south (sigh) Oh well, how are you doing on making lemonade out of double coupons to .40? |

Have you started shopping yet? If you can give me an idea about how much you know or any specific questions you might have we could start from there. Also what stores do you shop? Looking forward to talking more. |

| Metro girls again!! I am still learning how to use this darn site. My sister in law showed it to me a couple of weeks ago and I have only scratched the surface. I haven't created a binder yet and have only used my RR at Walmart one time and so I extremly new at this. I shop at Walgreen's, Shop N'Save and sometimes Dierbergs for special items. I'd be willing to go to other stores. |

| The people here ROCK! Quote:
I used to shop at Dierbergs exclusively. The I tried to save money and added Walmart and Aldi. I did not save much money and I never seemed to have anything. The cupboards were always bare! With the state of the economy/politics I was determined to find a way to save money. I stumbled on this and am amazed at how much more I have and I have even begun to spend less! Now I shop at Dierbergs, Aldi, Shop n Save, Schnucks, CVS and Walgreens...sometimes Walmart and Target but I have been so surprised with how I thought Walmart was such a good deal but really their prices are very close to the grocery stores regular prices! So I don't spend very much time there any more. I would say the thing that has helped me the most is 1. getting my coupons organized. Recently I was completing a very large project (I am a freelance web developer) I spent about 60 hours over two weeks completing it. I did not get my coupons, I did not keep them organized and i really did not save very much or get very much when I did go to the store. It was very eye opening as to the benefit of actually spending the time keeping that in really good order. 2. I spend alot of time organizing my deals for each store before I go. If I do not do this I get confused, I forget to give certain coupons, I don't pick up everything I need to make a deal work, and I end up spending too much. Spend the time and it really pays off almost like a job. If you have any questions or want to go over the deals for the week at some of the stores you are not familiar with PM me. I am better at replying to that. Let me know if I can help. |
