My name is Tammy
I live in a small town in Northern CA on a 6 acre ranch with my DH, my 32 y/o handicapped stepson, and my 25 y/o son. I also have a Daughter that lives near and a Son that is currently a Sr at Temple University in Tokyo Japan.

We have 2 tiny dogs, what seems like a million cats at the moment, 13 chickens and 3 goats who think they shouldn't graze, but be fed human food instead.

I have been a Christian since I was 18 y/o, and the greatest thing I have learned so far is that the creator of everything still chooses to make something beautiful of ME and my life.

Hi all! Trying to jump back into the Devotion forum after taking a few weeks off.

My name is Dawn and I live at the beach in North Carolina. I have been here my entire life. I am 28 years old and have been married going on 9 years and have been together almost 11 years. We actually got engaged at my senior prom! We have 2 beautiful children: DD almost 5 years old and DS 22 months old. We live with in 15 minutes of both of our parents so it is very nice.

I had grown up in church when I was younger but by the time I was 5 we stopped going. I started back up in 6th grade but was told in very VERY vulgar language to get out and I didn't belong. It was very hurtful and I turned atheist right after that. I recently came to Christ on October 9, 2008. The Lord convicted my heart really hard and I broke down in tears. That was almost 4 years ago.

I consider myself a giver and healer and try to help everyone with their problems. I know the Lord is working in my life and will do amazing things through me. I just have to learn to have the patience and dedication to keep going when I feel things can't work out.

Hi all!!

It's nice to meet everyone. I'm Candice. I have just moved to Maryland after been born and raised in Seattle Wa for the last 30 years. Moving coast to coast was a huge step for us. Left all our family and friends back home. I have a boyfriend and we have an 8 year old son.

With the big move and the fact that I'm a little bit of an over protective mom; mostly being in a new place not know anybody or anything about this new place we moved to; I get to be a stay at home mom. This in its self is new to me, I have always worked. Have to say I'm loving it.

Because now we have moved to a one income family I thought that I would do my part and try couponing. So far it's been fun. I'm very new to it all and trying things as I go. Trial and error. figure I can just stock up on the things that I can get really good deals on and hopefully when we need them it will get to a point that we won't be spending a lot of money. Not sure if that's the right idea but until I can get a real good grasp at this... it works.

I think all great mothers are "just a little overprotective" of their children. (It doesn't change when they get older by the way, you just take deeper breaths and learn to trust that what you've taught them really is in there)

Yes I was very shocked from the move... Still kinda am but I'm adjusting. Life is surely a different from the west coast. People told me but you never really think about it until you see it for yourself.

Hi, my name is Shannon, I have been married to Anthony since 16, 22 years now. We have 2 sons Dustin-21 and Zack 19. We live in Columbia, TN.

I did not grow up going to church, my dad traveled and my mom said it was too hard to get 3 kids ready each Sunday. I remember going with my friend when I was a young teen and feeling so lost, they went around the room asking questions and I didn't know anything and felt so embarrassed. I knew I wanted my children to grow up in church to never feel that way. My husband grew up going to church. Once we had children we went pretty regular. When our 21 year old was in his teens he got into lots of trouble with drugs and things and some people of the church did not want him there. At that time I taught SS and Wed. night and was very involved. It hurt when I heard the things they were saying because church should try to help them not push them away. Eventually we stopped going just was easier not to deal with. We got out for several years then we started going to a new church. Our Son to this day struggles with churches I feel like us running away was not the answer just easiest at the time and I hate that now for him. He still deals with trouble at 21 he is alcholic now that he doesn't do drugs. He has been through rehab twice. First time stopped with drugs and this second time has stopped drinking as of a couple of months ago. He also is bi polar and ADD, ADHD. He struggles finding a place to fit in. Our 19 year old is total opposite he plays sports and has received full scholorships past 2 years in college for his acidemics, he made the presidents list in college.

My husband has been away 11 hours working past 8 months but this Fri. he is moving home for good- Yeah!

I started couponing about 2 years ago when hubby's job was cut and we really had to watch our money. Since he's back working I have not couponed like I need to but really need to get back on track. It is alot of work- people think it's so easy but inorder to really coupon it takes alot of time to trace the deals, find the coupons, clip, etc.

I work full time as a secretaty at a construction company my parents manage. I have been here for 20 years.

Shannon~ My heart breaks for you and your son. It is so very sad when people chose to look at what they see on the outside and then place a label on it to define it. There is so much that is lost! Not only by the person being labeled, but more times than not by the ones doing the labeling. I believe there is treasure inside of everyone. If we choose to define by life choices we never get to see why God has put that person in our path.

I will be praying that God shows each of your family members the treasure that is hidden inside. That as your son runs from who he is, he finds himself running right into the arms of the one that truly loves and knows him best.

I will be praying that the reality of Jeremiah 29:11 will be made alive!

I'm Anna, currently getting back into the spiritual swing of things. God's been working on me overtime! I live near St. Louis, MO. Full-time college student (senior, but just switched majors ) and part-time cashier. I consider myself an Apostolic Pentecostal (UPCI), although I'm not currently in church or even dressing the way us ladies do 100% of the time. I'm what you might call a "casual" Pentecostal in that I may not fully dress the standards, but I believe whole-heartedly in the message.

My boyfriend has been my guide throughout my journey so far. We're pretty much engaged at this point, but a number of things need to happen before we exchange vows. Definately not conventional in that we will be living together as of next month, but that's just the way my life has to work right now. God always works in mysterious ways, doesn't he?

Anyways, hope to strengthen my faith and help others do the same! Thank you so much!
