Macy's Coupon Experience + 1 Day Sale

Has anyone had a coupon experience at Macy's? I shopped Macy's Online, they sent me a 15% IN-STORE coupon plus a 10 Dollar off coupon. I went to the 1 day sale yesterday, asked the cashier if I could use a coupon, I don't know how this works.. she said okay show me the coupons. So I did, then said the $10 off coupon could only be used between 1-3pm and the 15% off coupon was for catalogs only (which it clearly said IN-STORE). Anyways I took her word and finished my purchase. Is this typical Macy's coupon reaction? They called me today after a comment I left on their sight and all they offered was "I understand its frustrating, you're not the only one""lot more people shop online anyways". I just don't understand, its not frustrating it's just confusing. The terms and policies that were mentioned are not written, its just up to the employees discretion to inform the customers. What would you do in this situation?

I dont shop Mackys a lot but I deal with mis informed employees elsewhere. If those restrictions were not printed on the coupon, then I would ask the employee to point out on the coupon where it said that. When she wouldnt be able to do so, I would request that the coupon be honored or a manager called over to further explain the situation to me. I am guessing at that point the employee would just give me the discount if at all possible.

Hi: there's usually a time for certain coupons. I only seen it for example: 20off 50 coupons. I never seen in % coupons. In my opinion you should of ask for manager.
