IMO I think that we always complain but we don't say good job good job near often enough. I definetly think that you should follow up.

OK...how does this sound? Haven't sent it yet, so feel free to make suggestions... Dear Mr. Steinhafel, I am writing to follow-up on an e-mail I sent you on July 11th in regards to an unpleasant experience I had in the Columbia, SC store located on Two Notch Road. I want to personally express my appreciation to you for the way this incident has since been handled by representatives of the Target Corporation. I have now received phone calls from Liz in the corporate offices, Richard Evans from my SE Region, and Sid from Dallas, all of whom have expressed their apologies and desire to help improve the issues I have faced. I was also given personal numbers by both Richard and Sid, should I encounter any further problems. I have been informed that my store, as well as others in the region, is being retrained on coupon acceptance and customer interaction. I am very pleased to know that this is going on and am hopeful that this will make for pleasant visits, both for me, as well as my fellow coupon users in other areas, in the future. Please know that the actions your company has taken to resolve these issues have not gone unnoticed and that I have shared all of this with my family and friends, including those on the online forum I frequent. My respect for Target, as well as that of others I know, has been restored as a result of this experience. Sincerely, Kristie

Good for you!!! Target is no longer my favorite store. It has been for years, but Wal-mart takes my coupons all the time. (Not without eye rolls). Target made me feel like a thief and my last target shopping experience I was embarrassed and I walked out of the store leaving my groceries behind and went to wal-mart and got my items with the coupons.

I am just now reading your letters. They have been rude and unprofessional to a lot of customers that were following their policies and trying to save money. I hope your letters have opened their eyes and they reverse their current trend. Thank you! |

I love that her misconceptions have been proven wrong and even though she may come stand behind my cashier as my coupons are scanned, like she did today, there's nothing she can do about it because I've proven myself right. I may not have gotten the apology from her that I wanted, but that's OK. We both know she was way off base with her comments, and that's enough. Anyway....that was my long-winded way of telling everyong not to let these stores win! Don't let them run you off when you've done nothing wrong! Take names, make phone calls or write letters...go all the way to the top if you have to. Don't give up until you reach someone willing to listen and take you seriously. It is worth the time and it does yeild results!!! Love you guys!!!

Way to go!! You're awesome! Seriously. I know that if I ever have an issue that makes me feel like you did- I'd do the same thing. (with some help from ladies/gents here of course) I'm so glad that things turned out well (so far) and what a great feeling it must have been to face her and know you're right!
