I went today and bought 34 bottles of vive and got them all free and only had to pay tax. I went to the one in Durant OK. My mother went with me and she got 38 bottles. WOHOO good trip. I am sorry about all the people that had bad experince but i guess it is just the cashier you get. Next wk cvs has the same deal just a hint.HTH

I just wanted to add a little note which was recomended below by a friend here at afc. I will never take all of the stock off the shelves unless I have checked with the mgr and there is plenty for everyone else.I spoke with the mgr before making this purchase and he said they had got a truck with 7 cases in so it would be ok.He had ordered a lot because of the high response from this coupon.I bought 96 bottles of HE at kroger with the deal going on and I did not do this until I spoke with the mgr and he told me he had ordered like 20 cases of he and there was still like 50 bottles after I left. Like I also said before I do not need this much shampoo and I do stockpile some but there are people in this world that need these things more than I do and do not know about couponing.I try to help out as many people as I can and my family. I have been sick for 4 years now and I am finally able to do stuff again and this is just my way of contributing back to the world since i cannot work anymore.

Honestly, you should feel bad about taking so many. There are other people who won't get any because of you. I just can't believe some people. I'm not saying taking 5-8 is bad, but over 30 is terrible. If this were something else, like free food or whatever, I might understand more. But so many bottles of shampoo, that should last you a couple years or more, and before they run out you will get more freebie coupons for shampoo. I'm embarrassed to be in the same forum as you. Good day.

I visited that branch OP is talking about. it is right across SWM and I think it just opened recently. I'm surprised that it being a newly opened store, they had so many items with orange tags but it was coupon friendly store, they took my RR as payment for Sunday paper and I got 10 and paid 2 $5 RRs.

I completly understand what you are trying to say, especially with the fact that during this particular sale, WAGS seems to have been way understocked on this particular item, so it has been extremely frustrating for a bunch of us to get ANY shampoo/conditioner....even with the 100+ WAGS in the St. Louis Metro area, I have only been able to get 6 total bottles and 4 of those were conditioner. Unfortunatley, there will always be some that don't remember that there are others of us out there also trying to get in on a deal, but without wiping out the shelves. If I understand OP correctly, between her and her mother, they took over 70 bottles of shampoo/conditioner off the shelves for them two in just one visit, that is a little excessive in my opinion, and mind you I have a great looking stockpile, but that stockpile took me months to get to where it is, a little bit at a time, and in my opinion it is only fair and right to do a couple at a time, at different stores, over the duration of the sale so that we can all get in on the deals, especially, in today's economic times and with so many of us needing to stockpile and save money...but also keeping in mind that others need to do the same. OP, I'm glad you felt good about your transaction and excited enough that you wanted to share, but when you post something like this, know that there will always be those who will not agree and find that that many bottles at a time, still early on during a sale is excessive. In the end though, we all do what our consciences (sp) will allow us to do.

I am thinking that rainchecks will be the way to work this deal! I was able to get 4 bottles. I didn't really even think about it but I think I went on Monday night and my store only had 5 bottles left of that kind.

I have done this deal 3 times--4 bottles each location--I almost felt bad about the 4!--I have some coupons i ordered-so I am planning on going a few more times--we have 6 people in our family and with the hot weather my kids are showering 2x a day--we go through a bottle of each a week!!--

If I know that there is a great deal coming and I have tons of coupons, I have them preorder for me so that I am not taking everything off the shelves. I want to do the razor deal and cutter deal some more so I had them order me some for next week. I just need to remember to get a raincheck for the razors as next week they will not be on sale. I always ask for a raincheck if they are out of something I will need. My nearest wags is 15 minutes (my next one is 50 minutes)away in a rather small town, and most of the good deals are wiped out within a half an hour of opening. So again I preorder if possible or have them order me some after the sale starts and get a raincheck. The diaper deal is so awesome, that my friends and I had them order a huge amount of packs. This way we are not taking from the shelves when we want a very huge amount. Some folks don't want a bunch of stuff, so we are saving the shelved items for folks who might only want a few. This is what I do to avoid wiping out the stores as I cannot drive store to store because it is too far away. What is the concensus on this way of doing it? Thoughts?

I would not have taken that much but I did ask th manager before I took them and they had got a truck in the night before and he had ordered 7 cases of these just because they were having such a big response with this coupon. he said they had been cleared out everyday and then they restock. I do not beleive in taking all but since he told me he had such a large amount and they could restock I do not see the problem with it.I usually do not buy this much and I always leave plenty for everyone else and I live 45 minutes from Walreens so I cannot drive back and forth. Like I said again always make sure there is gonna be enough for everyone so I am not ashamed at all and Everyone should not be so hasty to pass judgment on me when I made sure there was goin to be plenty for everyone

That was good of you to ask your manager! As long as they know what is going on in their store then I would have done exactly what you did! Good job and I wouldn't feel bad about your trip at all after reading that you made sure there would be enough for others!!

You only need to buy two per Q. Walgreens gives you one free and Loreal gives you one for free with the Q. If you can't use your Q's at Wag's this week, I see that K-Mart has BOGO on Vive next week.

How dare you tell someone else how they should feel! The OP didn't mention what type of stock the store had, we have no way of knowing if there were dozens left on the shelves or not. Even if she did wipe a shelf, it is not a crime, and stores can order more. Its sad that jealousy sometimes gets in the way of people being able to share their deals.... Anyone who has been couponing for more than 6 months, often has a decent stockpile of shampoos and conditioners... I haven't found the Loreal Hydra yet, and I have no problem with it, nor do I feel I must condemn people who are excited about their deals. Life is first come first served...its nice when people are courteous, but thats up to the individual...

Well the rule of thumb I always live by is to treat others how you would want to be treated and always be curteous. I cannot help if other people are not but my mother taught me to be a good responsible person.Most of my stuff I do not stockpile I give it away to people that need it more than I do. There is no way in this world I could ever use that much shampoo even with me, hubby, and 2 kids.

The stores around here have had a small stock on the shelves, only 4-8 bottles at a time. At my regular store on Tuesday the manager told me that they would take the Q for any Vive I wanted to get(I go in pretty much everyday). So I have been getting 4 bottles a day. I have a nice selction of all the different kinds, even the Men's 2 in 1. And with an average of 6 of us in the house. We go through this stuff like crazy.


I'll have to make sure I hit the one in Durant when I am up there on the 26th.. gotta take my mom and show here how this is done (She just doesn't get it).

I was there Sunday morning at the Durant branch and just noticed a few of the VIVE hydra gloss on the shelf. since the BOGO Qs were in the Sunday inserts and we were visiting relatives, I didn't buy it there and tax was 9.125%. yikes!!! The OP must have discovered a hidden stash of over 70 just for hydra gloss because I went to the shampoo aisle and there were just a few bottles of the hydra gloss variant on display.

Ooohh I know I shouldn't post because I usually try to stay out of these types of forums because I don't want to offend anyone. But I have to tell you what happened at the Walgreen's in my area, I read this on another board. The posted said they got wiped out of all the Vive on Monday, apparently someone came in with 12 B1G1 free Loreal coupons and cleaned out the whole store prompting the management to take some actions. They are now limiting our purchases to 4 of like items per customer, will not take the B1G1 Free coupons on B1G1 free sales, and are seriously considering not letting us use store coupons with manufacturers coupons. I think it's wonderful the OP got 70 plus bottles of shampoo if she needed them, so please don't take this wrong. I'm just stating what happened at my Walgreen's because someone took 24 bottles. If the OP asked the manager first then I see no problem with it because the manager gave her the o.k...... But just incase others read this they may want get 'a few' at a time so managers aren't prompted to take action like they did at my location. And again, I hope I didn't offened anyone cause I really think everyone here at AFC are the best!!! And I love how everyone posted their good deals, that's how we learn and I would hate for everyone to stop for fear of getting flamed.
