I HAD to stop on my way home tonight - of course, my coupon binder was in the car, so I was all set. The manager was kind enough to let me take advantage of the 7/13 sale, but of course, the RRs wouldn't ring up. No worries, though, I did manage to come away with some pretty good deals!

I was in the store for quite a while, being new at this, and with a new store, getting the lay of the land, so to speak. I think the manager was worried that someone from corporate had sent me to spy on him or something!

Then, when I went to check out, he came up front and watched the cashier. There were a number of sale items not loaded in the computer yet, so he did a bunch of running back and forth, getting her the sale prices. I had one IP coupon, and he scrutinized it, telling me he needed to make sure it wasn't a photocopy. I was a bit offended by that - just because I have a great binder full of coupons, and took my time to get good deals, doesn't mean I was out to cheat anyone!

Oh, well. All in all, it was a good trip!

My store opened a new one this last month, last week they had a coupon in their ad (very regional) for $3 off a $10 purchase for that store only. Then when I went in, there were a ton of ads just sitting around! There was about a month lag between the new store opening and the coupon in the insert.

Keep an eye out!
