Maybe if we start using a video camera when they treat us like criminals, (I bought my Flip camera from Target ), or we could use our phones to record and post it all over youtube.....they'll be plenty sorry then I bet.

It's pretty sad when it gets to the point where a person dreads going to a store. I really do dread going to Target and Rite Aid due to the coupons issue. It seems like the cashiers are getting more rude everyday. What is the resolution? Please update us and let us know when this is resolved for you. I am so sorry.

How awful for you. I do agree with all of the above posts about the coupons not scanning. The last couple of times that I tried to use my coupons there, the cashier had to double check each item as the q's beeped when scanned. However, she did go ahead and push them through once she verified what I had. I too, only had a few (6 total to be exact). Everyone she scanned beeped. I hope your letter opens up a few eyes and ears and they get their acts together on the coupons.

Love the letter and good for you! Send it to everyone at Target that you can think of, AND THE MEDIA! So sorry for your experience. I too am getting more and more frustrated with Target every day. I go in there with my coupons that I KNOW are correct and 90% of the time get questioned and denied. It is so humiliating and frustrating to go to all that planning for nothing!

Our Target is the same. We can't use more than one Q, even 1 target and 1 mfg. can't be used together. Also none for $1.00 with the product is .99 Also none at all for trial sizes unless the coupon is for trial sizes only and says so on the Q We can no longer use the $5.00 off $20.00 or whatever, with ANY other coupons at all. They have totally eliminated any " free " items. If ours come out free, they call the mgr. over and he simply deletes them from our order and gives the Q back, etc. and says " no free items ". All this is ok with me, I have the right to let them have the " joy " of putting it all back up again, while I whistle my way back to CVS. The mgr. at cvs, there even went through BOXES that hadn't even been opened, to find an item I needed. I can get in, and out of there faster then Target! Wal Mart beats Target on accepting customer Q's WM knows some people get things free, and so far mine has been good with it, except for a few cashiers that just want to be mean and make you wait. I don't play that game, if they say no, I don't even discuss it, simply say " then go ahead and take that off my bill please ", its less stressful on me. Plenty of other places will take that Q Never stress yourself over it, its your stroke your working on when you do that. Just copy all your reciepts you spend everywhere else and send copies to the regional mgr. with a photo copy of an original letter of why you don't shop there anymore and let him see the cash he's missing. Regional will yank some chains...

I vote we all write the mgr. where ever that happened, and let them know we heard about what happened, with all our different postal stamps on our envelopes, that might make a difference. I would be willing! I live near Dallas Texas. Just give me the address of the regional mgr. of YOUR area and off the letter will go. If they get the idea that everyone is finding out maybe they will be nicer.......I agree with the above post since you are fighting this to go ahead and let the media know!!!! Almost every area has an " investigative reporter ", who just loves those kind of stories. Ours near here follows them around with cameras and mikes til they wished they had never done what they did.

I'd send a letter too! If you can get me that Target's address and it's District office address (which would make even more of an impact) i'm all for it! Let them be bombarded with letters about how that store (and others) is treating it's customers!

I emailed taret last week they sent me a coupopn policy and then I emai;ed them back saying I just wanted it adhered to and an apology and they sent one back saying sorry they couldn't hep me. What has happened to customer service and the customer is always right.

I did go back tonight and no trouble at all I got
5 archer farms chips 89 cents (she pushed the $1 thru)
4 pringles (50 cents a can after generator coupon)
bandaids on the travel aidle (75 cents coupon off)
a sweet tea
printer ink on sale for $29 dollars

Only ended up paying 31 dollars with no problems and a very friendly cashier which was basicall the ink and tea

You definately can never tell what will happen

Sounds like a bunch of BS on their part. Im a coupon newbie so I dont know if you were wrong or right but in the light of the store....customer is always right, right? so i believe you!!

I would have been mortified of what had been said to that customer behind me so you can bet i would have then made a huge thing about it and gotten pissed and not left until it was resolved...definitely wouldnt have bought my stuff just like you didnt, yay for you ....STAND YOUR GROUND!!!

I had a very similar experience about a month ago. The front lanes team lead or whatever was so incredibly rude I left in tears. As soon as she came over to the register the first words out of her mouth were 'Oh you better dump out her bags and check EVERY SINGLE ITEM because she uses coupons for the wrong items and that's STEALING. She had no clue why she was called over to the register (my cashier didn't know how to adjust a coupon when the item cost less than the amount) It was right before closing so of course there were tons of people in line, and she flat out called me a thief in front of them! I was mortified!!! Then she goes on getting louder and louder practicaly yelling at me about how 'THE COUPON SAYS GET $1 OFF NOT GET THE ITEM FOR FREE!' Then she storms off and comes back with a full sized bottle of All 3x and seriously shoves it inches within my face 'SEE??? THIS IS WHAT YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BUY!!!!' That's when I said screw it, took my qs back and I left in tears. I have never in my life been so humiliated!!! I wrote a very lengthy letter to CS and all I got was a 'Sorry, here's a copy of our coupon policy' Needless to say I haven't been back to Target since

Bravo Kristie!!! Excellently worded letter! I sure hope you get corporate's attention with this and that you get the apology you so deserve!

So sorry to all who have had such terrible experiences at Target lately I too do not frequent Target much these days because of these horror stories (TARGET ARE YOU LISTENING/READING THIS!!!) Hopefully, if you get some publicity on your experience, those up top will shift their @$$ to do something about this to make sure that their staff are trained properly on their coupon policies across the company spectrum and to retrain GL to treat all guests (regardless of whether they have coupons or not) with decorum and respect.

Good for you and for standing up for yourself and not staying silent

I don't know that I could be quite as brave, so I applaud you

I'm sorry you had such a bad experience...your letter is awesome, though. You effectively explained the situation in a very professional manner. Good for you!

I also had a bad experience at Target recently, but I just don't visit that store anymore. I am lucky to have two Targets in my area. My cashier last night was very friendly about my coupons...I must have had a stack a 1/2 inch thick. But she was amazed at my savings! I had a couple that beeped but she just pushed them through w/o a problem. I wish they were all like her!

I'm so sorry you had such a rough time. I just told my husband last night I was done with Target! Between buying expired food from Super Target (3 times in 1 month- hard to check at store with 2 year old & 6 month old!), really rude cashiers and managers, being told at CS that I should really check food before I buy it (my responsibility for them having expired food!) and the coupon issues- too much of a hassle for me! I hope you get a response, but I doubt it will be helpful. Here's hoping one day Target opens its eyes, but I'm not hopeful. I'll just stick to my local grocery store sales & CVS!
