Sorry if this has been asked before. I tried to look but didn't see the specific answer.

Does Publix accept Competitor Q that are not in the same area? Like I know we don't have any Food Lion in our area but if I get the coupon, will they accept it? Or is it legitimate to do so?

They should accept it. They consider competitors stores like Food Lion, Albertsons, Krogers, Winn Dixie and grocery retailers. They will usually not accept coupons from other "non discount retailers" ( Walmart, Target ) etc. You would have to try to find out. Our Publix does take Food Lion coupons and the FL is about 5 miles away.

My food lion is across the street from my Publix so it would definitely qualify as a competitor. the coupon that just came out for FL is specific to certain areas in SC, and unfortunately not my area of SC. do you think it would be ok for me to try the coupon at my publix anyway?

my publix takes target coupons..they have supertargets that sell food so that is definately competition!

I wondered the same thing since I'm not in the specified area and can't use it at FL.....

Wow, our Publix actually advertises that they take Grocery coupons but not Discount Stores Coupons. They will not accept our Target Coupons. Maybe I will retry....

My Publix takes Target coupons not too sure about FL bc I've never tried. All I can say is call them and see what they say.

I've used a Winn-Dixie Q at Publix even though there are no Winn-Dixies in GA. I actually didn't know this when I tried to use it. The cashier questioned it and another cashier told her she could take it. I have another one but haven't used it, as I can see that WD is not really a competitor since they are not in the same area. My Publix does take SuperTarget Coupons, which works out great b/c there are a few Qs on the Target website for BOGO items.

There are Winn Dixies in S. GA.
I have even used the $10/50 from CVS at Publix...it's right next door & they sell food.

I used the FL ones one time before I realized there was no FL anywhere around here. So, I have stopped using them since they really aren't a competitor for my particular Publix. However, I do use Kroger, Wags and Target ones at my Publix and they are good about taking them.

I think the FL Q is fine as long as u don't use it at FL in the nonspecified counties. I used BiLo, FL, Bloom & Publix x/xx all in one trip today. I ahve used CVS in the past as well. I use the Traget Ips & printed Qs as well as the FL IPs all the time.

So just to be clear, if you are not in the specified area, I live in SC but not in one of those towns, is it ok to use a FL Q for 10/25 at Publix? I mean basically it is up to the Publix whether they want to accept it? Or is that wrong?

I would just ask at customer service when you go in next time. That's what I did. That way I knew ahead of time what I could and couldn't use. My Publix will take competitor q's up to a $1.

I live in Woodstock, GA and am able to use Food Lion and Kroger Qs at my Publix, but not drug store or target/walmart Qs.

My Kroger accepts any other grocery store Q with a barcode. But this means they won't accept many of the Publix Qs because some of them only give an LU#, no barcode

Good news, I asked at our store in Chapel Hill, Douglasville and yes they take FL coupons, not necessarily the x/xx but all the grocery coupons. Yayyyyy!

I'm in FL and our Publix only takes coupons from local competitors (they have it in writing in their flyer). They do take Target coupons because our local Target sells food but they do not take web coupons from competitiors - I found that out the hard way today
