Sometimes they have sales on paint around holidays. The next one may not be until labor day!!

I'm going to make a suggestion: Make sure you use great paint!! I recommend either Behr from Home Depot or Valspar from Lowes!! We used olympic paint when we moved in and it was terrible!! We re-painted and used valspar and we love it!!!!!

I agree, be sure to use quality paint. Cheap paint doesn't cover well and it is doesn't clean as well.

Home Depot has a special this week at my store for the behr paint I cant remember the deal though you might want to check it out at your local hope depot

The MIR deals are done for now for both Lowes and THD. They will be back by Labor Day as lattegirl mentioned. THD will honor the Lowes $10/25 coupon so go with Behr Paint. It is the highest rated between the 2 retailers and I have used it and the color is very clean.

I was going to suggest the Behr Paint (although we have used the one from Lowe's, too). Good to know that HD will honor the Lowes Q. We may have a couple of projects soon too.

Although I posted about the paint sale at Lowes- I do agree with the other posts about Behr being superior paint. Sometimes it is worth it to pay more up- it will be cheaper in the long run when your paint lasts.

I recommend checking out the mistakes rack at your local store. You may find a nice color that will work for her room. They are marked down super cheap too.

It's worth a try.

I was just going to recomend oops paint....We painted our whole house in OOOPS paint..Alot of the paint was the nice stuff...
I did my son's bedroom in blue and baby blue. What I did was bought 2 different colors and mixed them with the white...and had enough to do his whole room plus some.

Thanks for all the great ideas everyone. I really appreciate the help. It's nice when you can ask someone elses opinion. I just say a commercial about behr paint being the number one recommended paint. I always thought it was alot more than lowes but now realize's its comparable.

Now does Behr go on in one coat like the lowe's brand did? I was surprised that it only took one coat the last time we painted (over 4 years ago in our old house). We are painting it over builder's grade white so it doesn't have to cover a dark color or anything.

Also have a question as to how much we will need? I can figure it out but I think it will only be one gallong if the behr goes on in one coat. Her room is 13 x 10 and one of the smaller walls is taken up almost entirely by closet. We are only doing a little more than half the wall (chair rail and wallpaper going on the bottom). I hate to buy too much but definately don't want to get too little either.

I am assuming HD will color match like lowe's does. I have paint samples from somewhere that match great and am assuming I can take those into HD and get the same color.

OMAR329 - thanks for the info that THD will honor lowes coupon. This could work out very good for us.

I will also check the OOPS paints but have never really found anything I could use before. That was usually where I looked first. It's hard when you are trying to match a wallpaper. Although with this wallpaper I have a few different options. Like minty green, yellow or darker lavender.

I will have to post a picture when her room is all done so that all of you who helped out can see it!

Almost any High Quality Paint ( Behr, Valspar or Sherwin Williams ) will coat in 1 coat, especially since you have a clean, builder's grade white. Whatever paint you choose, remember that the THD or Lowes will price match one another + 10% if one is higher ( EX: Valsper 1 gal: 21.99, Behr: 22.99 THD match Valsper to 21.99 + 10% off so it would be $19.79 ) and you still have the $10/25 Lowes so you could save some serious cash!!
