Update Exp lifesavers candy
I called Wrigley Co. who make Lifesavers and they gave me the insight how to read the codes on the candy. First of all don't even bother with the letter ( ie L)
Look at the next 6 numbers for expiration date. For instance 030508 This would mean the first two numbers (03)are the day of the month ,the next two numbers are the month (05)=May and the last two numbers are the year (08)= 2008. They said they normally make the candy to have shelf life for about 8 months ,but after that okay to eat but hard and chewy and loose their flavor. Hope this helps . I am returning 5 packages back to CVS.
