| How? Where? Do you find unadvertised product RR's?
I follow your posts and threads judicially - or, perhaps that sould be viciously. You are turning me from a Wags Bull into a Wags 'Cougar'. (For definition I will defer to the ladies here for exactly what a 'cougar' is. I should be so young - again. )How and Where do y'all find out about the Mfg and product RR's? I know about the circular hightlighted Wags RR's. Other than from your posts and threads (and I am SO greatful for them) I have not been able to find information on Mfg/product RR's. Example: The Planter's Trail Mix RR $.99/limit 3 - bought 3 (twice), got $1 (each time) last week. Tried again on Friday - no $1 printout. Asked Mgr - he said is a product RR and Mfg decides when to end, which, in this case, was Thursday. Yes, he is correct - the RR is from Planter's. I would have thought the company/mfg RR's would last at least during the sale dates of the item in circular.(Clarity for those unfamiliar - The Mfg/product RR's are off your Wags "... Next Shopping Order" and are not product specific.) How do you know how long these RR offers will last? How do you know if you should have gotten one, when you are checking out, and did not? I have never been able to determine from company/Mfg RR's how long until the offer ends and I can't find anywhere to look for it? Your wisdom is welcome. Thanks. |

I think that people find out about the unadvertised RR by accident. They buy a product and then the cat machine will spit out a slip either telling them about the deal or will give them an RR. Sometimes when it is unadvertised no one really know for sure when it will end, but find out when the cat machine does not give any more RR. In the situation with the planters RR, you could give corporate a call and ask about the RR deal and say that you have heard about it from someone at the store and that yours did not print. They should look into this for you and at least tell you either way if it should have worked or not. HTH |

Great question. I always thought it was by accident too. It would be nice if there was a way to know in advance. I would have stocked up on Dixie earlier in the week. I was only able to get 1 cat on that because it ended on Saturday, and I'd planned a couple more trips for that day.

when these RR promos started at WAG, I called up cat mktg to find out if I can ask directly from them what deals are going on......NO GO they do not tell you what promos are going on in what store UNLESS you have basic info, especially the numbers that ran across the catalina that you have to read to them and they will tell you when it started and ended. they can also tell you what products qualify (sometimes with a nice CSR, they tell me the UPC numbers of items that are programmed). I verify the UPC of trial size items if they qualify and sometimes, they do. over-all, I just stumble into them. I either receive a cat announcement that prints out, see the cat promo on the shelf (this happens most often) or I read it in the boards. Most often, our stores have announcements before they hit the boards, sometimes I'm just lazy to read all of them or they are not posted at eye level in shelves so I can't read them.....LOL the staff at our stores know me as a deal seeker, many times they would let me in on the secret while giving me the WAGc and MQs to make the deal work. how can I not love these people? in return, I share with them my MQs so they can do the deals themselves after I tried it out. |

for those who do not know, cat mktg toll free number is: 1-888-8coupons if you get hold of a CSR named Paul, he is very helpful and give a lot of useful info. there is another guy who is always grumpy and the only answer he gives are, it has ended, it is not part of the promo and I do not know |

That is strange because I was able to do the Planter's deal and received a $1 RR printout on Friday. Perhaps the catalina was down.
