it's not free, well, at MY store is was not free. It was $1.79. The coupon says it is for a "free chapstick". But, at the bottom of the coupon it says "maximum value $1.59". I ended up paying 20 cents. Isn't free... free?

Ug! That's not cool! You'd think that since it is the STORE BRAND Q, from the CORPORATE STORE that they'd have a standard price for said STORE BRAND. It's so sad that each store can mark up pretty much however much they seem to want to.

The other CVS chapsticks are $1.99 at our store. But, they are not the right ones in my store. The one for the coupon was found in back in the prescrip area. By the way.. did you get yours totally free or did you have to pay some on it?

I got the right one and it was priced at $1.59 but when the coupon scanned it came up with an error message and the manager manually fixed it. Other varieties were piced higher.

It must be priced higher in some stores, like mine. But, CVS should of known that when they sent out the "free coupon". Oh well, I only paid 20 cents so no big deal.. it's just the idea of it all.

I figured something out today! I was ready to check out with the $1.79 "free" chapstick, when I noticed, on the counter right in front of me, the same exact chapstick, except NOT in a package, just the chapstick itself, for $1.59!!! Same product, just no packaging!!! So the "free" chapstick does indeed exist!!!!

Oh, that's so annoying!

I tried to use the b1g1 free coupon for head and shoulders last week at the CVS and they would only give me 3.00 off and not the full $5.49! It was so annoying! I was like, paying 2.49 more isn't getting one for free. But there was a huge line and I was in a hurry, so I let it go but I was soooo annoyed about it. The whole deal I was trying to do was a giant bust.

Grrrr.... that makes me MAD. I even showed the coupon with the picture to the shift supervisor that pointed out the 1.79 one and said "that's the one." Grrr... So I paid 20 cents for the paper it was in.... grrr....

The ones loose by the register on the counter are $1.59 so free. There was no tax either.

I didn't get this coupon either.....but that is a rip and very expensive for store brand chapstick. I wonder if they made a mistake.

I printed off the free chapstick email I got but when I tried to use it in the store it wouldn't work (b/c the cashier couldn't figure out the price was higher than the coupon allowed) when she called the manager for help, the manager told me I was only supposed to use it once per card. I told them this was the 1st and only time I have tried to use it, and she basically rolled her eyes and said customers were only supposed to use them once! I am an honest person and this was my 1st time using it and I really didn't appreciate them hinting that I was a liar. I was so mad over the lack of customer respect, I almost told them to shove the chapstick. It wasn't worth a character review.

I got 2 in different transactions. They told me I could use it once per transaction until it expired as long as it went through. The $1.59 ones were by the register. The coupon worked both times no problems. I did the same thing when I got the backpack wipes free and ended up with several pkgs of those too until it expired.

at my store they are $1.99 and the cashier took off the $1.99
