We have two menards in our area and one of them just remodled to get a new large food section. Do any of yours have a food section and if so, do you find the prices to be as good as menards prices on other items?

Ours has a food section but I've never really looked through or bought anything. I might have to check better.

Mine does...and this is usually what I get. I have gotten to know their prices very well. These prices are even better than the grocery stores regular price.

Hunts Spagetti sauce (large cans) $.86
Mandarin oranges (small cans) $.50
Frozen pizzas (Jacks) $2.50
Old El Paso just as cheap as Target (if not cheaper)

Then a lot of times they have other things marked down too..

Hamburger helper $1
Chex Mix $1
Beef Jerky $3.xx (have seen it $2.89 before) (I have gotten $60 worth of beef jerky in one trip before )
BBQ sauces, ketchup and other condiments, just as cheap as Walmart (IMO)

Most of their food is just as cheap as Targets prices, I was floored to discover this.

I know I look so strange when I go in and buy 10 cans of mandarin oranges and 12 taco seasoning packets and a plunger! LOL

One thing I should mention is that when items are on clearence or marked down..they have a red price tag! I am always on the lookout for them just like at Wags.

I will have to go pay more attention the next time I need a plunger. Looks like there are some good deals to be had. Expecially since the company told me they accepted manufacture's coupons. I had a coupon on the hamburger helper that would have made it about .50 per box and the chex mix for free!
