| Do you have a system for checking
out with your coupons? I tend to put all my groceries out first that I don't have any q's for, and then my items with q's last. just wonder if it makes a diff? I haven't really had a problem or anyone question me, but then again, I don't ever have one of those low oop's either, never had any overages etc. I'm new to this can you tell? I working on it though. Hoping to try the price match thing. It would just be so much more convenient to just have to go to one store, and none of my local grocery stores take ip's, which is a pain....and only ge doubles, but again, no ip's. grr......I'm all for saving money, but i need to take into consideration living in a rural area, and the cost of gas, as well as my time, if i can cram it all into one trip,it is definitely worth it to me....ok sorry to get off on that tangent.... tracyg |

i do the same thing. i try to put the items on the belt as i have my coupons in order. therefore i know if it's the first coupon the cashier scans and causes a problem..i know it was the first item she scanned.

I only put the "free" items at the end of the order so that it is easier to locate the price for the coupon. Other than that it is whatever was on top of the cart goes first on the conveyor.

I tend to have about 40 coupons when I grocery shop. I put things in order for bagging, such as cold stuff together, cans together, fresh produce together. Then I put medications, HBA, and soda last. I only do that because I remember it helped me out back in the day, when I got called up to cashier at Wal-Mart. I worked in another part of the store, but I was one of those people trained as a back-up. I usually got called up a couple times a week. Plus, I don't really like it when cold things get put in the wrong bag. Anyway, I don't put my stuff with coupons together. If I have price match, I save all that for the end, since it takes a little longer. Then I ask the cashier to press total so I can see my total before coupons! Then I hand them the coupons. My Wal-Mart is really nice about coupons though, and usually doesn't have trouble handling them. If I had a less coupon-friendly Wal-Mart, my method might be different!

I do the exact same. I don't have problems at my Wal Mart either. Even when the coupons won't scan, they will just enter them in. I love it! But, of course you never know when that will change. |

I'm bad!! I just put all my stuff up there in any ol way! If something beeps let them look for it. I know I did it right. I also write the amount of the free's on the Q. If they don't believe then dig for that to!

I put all the heavy stuff first (pop/milk/etc) so that I know they'll be in the bottom of the cart. Then I just throw everything else up, trying to keep cold stuff together, cleaning stuff or HBA together, produce together. I do try to make sure that anything that I have a BOGO or Free coupon for is at the end so it's easier to find the price, along with any ad match stuff. Oh, and overage stuff I make sure are mixed in with other things in the middle, so that the price isn't fresh in their minds LOL

I dont have a certain order I just do what ever, but I put the frees and ad matches at the beginning or end so I can monitor them. Plus I keep the cold together.
