... just tried using the 50 cent DMN coupon we got in the paper last week... anyone else notice the dbl pack went up a $1 to $3 now?!... anyway, the DMN coupon wouldn't double. The cashier tried two ways... and nothing... just $.50 came off. Anyone else try their Q yet?

I used to buy the Sunday Double pack for $2.00 and my jaw dropped when I saw it had gone up to $3.00. It really defeats the savings of buying the 2 papers at once.

I hear some people buy their papers at the dollar stores... and they take coupons... I wonder if they have gone up there too? or if we can still find them for a $1? Anyone know?

I'm not sure if the prices have gone up at the dollar stores yet, but I'm pretty sure they will still have them for cheaper than other stores. Boo!!! I guess I'll have to stick with the FW Star Telegram.

I have a friend who works for Star Telegram, he just told me this mornig the home
delivery will be going up, but NOT the papers in the store!

The same thing happened to me with the .50 DMN coupon. It didn't double and the cashier just shrugged her shoulders. She said it must not be a mfg coupon. I looked at one later and it is a mfg coupon so I am not sure why it won't double.

Yeah, at WalMart the double papers still have a wrap around them that says $2. When the paper rang up as $3, I pointed out the $2 wrap, and the cashier adjusted it down to $2. That really stinks. I was hoping the $3 was an error.

Dollar Tree sells them, (for $1) but they do NOT take coupons.

My area just has Ft Worth double newspapers for 1.99. I didn't even know Dallas had double newspapers. I am relieved to hear that FW won't be raising their prices!!!

I noticed the $3.00 on the newspaper but didn't think nothing of it. My Dh is the one that buys me that papers, I need to ask him. $1.00 is a lot, you all know what we can do with a $1 at CVS.

New Flash for me: I did not know the price of a single paper was $2.00. I thought only the Sunday Double had gone. What that being said, I'll continue to buy the Sunday double!
