| Return bottles w/BPA for store credit-BRU
Just wanted to post here so everyone knows.. I called my babies r us after reading the post on above mentioned website and they told me they are giving store credits for bottles with BPA, so I rounded up all the bottles I had with BPA (I was going to throw them away awhile ago but my husband told me to keep them, thank god for him) and went to my BRU. Well anyways ended up getting a store credit for almost $35.00...YAH!!!! So if any of you have any bottles with BPA give your store a call and go shopping.... Do they have to be new in the packaging still? How much do they credit you per bottle? TIA

I went yesterday to return mine and they said that since there was no official recall they would not return any used bottles.

it seems like each store is different, call your store to see what they will take. Some will take used bottles, some only in original packaging.

Went to BRU today and returned all my Dr. Brown's bottles: they were used and not in any packages. They gave me store credit of the full value of the bottles. I received $106.xx ![]() They did not even question me about my return. My cousin did the same thing the other day and got back $135.xx It is really worth checking out to see if your store will return them instead of sitting there collecting dust. It is best to call ahead of time. Hope the information is helpful.

It depends on the store and if they will return them. It is best to call your store to see there policy on this. At my store you did not need a receipt and they just gave me a store credit for whatever the price of the bottles on the shelf were. So a 3 pk of large ventaire bottles is just over $10.00.

Thank you so much for posting this! I have a zillion Avent bottles so I'm going to call tomarrow and see if they will give me credit. There are two different BRU in my area so if one doesn't then hopefully the other will!

A few weeks ago, I returned my many avent bottles (no packaging, no receipts; just the bottles, rings, and tops) and got $70 in store credit! Tracylynn, just say you heard that as a courtesy to their customers, BRU is taking the BPA bottles back for store credit. CTSunshine

i just called and spoke with the manager, she said to bring them in and they would then decide if they would take them back. I'm not sure if I want to do it or not, in case they say no, since it's like a 30 min drive out of the way.

| The BRU I went to said that all BRU's are required to take them back. However, if you do not have all of the parts then they will not take them back because they can not get credit for them from the manufacturer.

I called the BRU in Clearwater(the only one in my area) and the woman I spoke to told me since there was no recall, they would only take them back in a package, with a receipt. Then she told me the whole thing was "mass hysteria" and BPA was not even proven to cause harm! I got her name and thanked her for her help. Now I'm trying to figure out if I should call someone else. I'm not going to the BRU in Tampa!

Thanks for posting this! I went today and got a $35 credit. If you have Avent bottles and they were bought seperately, be sure to tell them. You will get more back individually than for the multipack.
