I called mine and they said returns with receipt only and I asked if it mattered how old the receipts were and the guy said no. Good thing because my receipts are over a year old!

That's stupid - if you are concerned about BPA now, it is likely you were concerned 90 days ago as well. BRU and Target alike were talking about pulling the bottles far more than 3 months ago. You probably wouldn't have even purchased them in that scenario - plus that is the same as their regualr return policy. *sigh* Which store in MN did you call?

I should see if they will take back all of my NUK nursers ... the baby wasn't fond of them anyway - I just didn't want to pay for those darn liners for the playtex bottles. I know, cheapskate ... but I finally caved to convenience and the happiness of the baby.

What about pacis? I know at least the Gerber Nuks (my son's paci of choice) is on the list of nonos - not sure I am really too worried about the BPA thing, but I have started to take away the pacis because of it ... and I spend a fortune on those things.

I returned mine today, I would suggest to call ahead and make sure you talk to someone in charge...manager or whatever and get their name. I walked in today and the girl behind the returns was like UMMM NO we arent taking these and I told her I talked with Lorraine the manger and she said it was ok... BOY did her mood change...nice as pie...and returned all of them and the extra nipples and rings and what not.... $84 !!!!

The BRU near me is kind of BLAH ... they even gave me trouble once when I mistakenly tried to use a coupon a day too early when I was 9 mos. pregnant and noticably *out to lunch*. I felt like a fool and it didn't help that they were rude about it - acted like I was trying to get away with something. Of course, I would have, since they mark the diapers up the day the coupons take effect ... sneaky buggers... but I was just plain unaware of the day, and they made me feel about as sharp as a cotton ball with their "the sale dates are right on the front of the mailer" attitude. Of course, I may have just remembered it that way because on the same trip they asked me "how tall is your husband" during stroller shopping - I'm single so at big as a house hormonal whale stage of my pregnancy, asking about my non-existant husband just about sent me on a rampage. hehehe

Ok, I think I'm over tired ... going to try to return my Gerber's tomorrow.

I just returned all my Avent bottles today!! When I got to the store the girl new exactly what I was talking about and had a sheet right at the reister that told her what she needed to do to return the bottles. I got 52.xx back for 4 small and 6 large Avent bottles and one Nuk bottle. I then bought the Nuby ones for 18.xx before tax.

I just called the one in Towson, MD and was told they are taking the returns and issuing a store credit but that the credit has to be used only on bottles. That's fine with me b/c we have a baby due in 3 months that I will need them for. Just curious if anyone has heard this.

Also, how many bottles are you all returning to get store credit amount you are all mentioning. Just wondering how they are breaking it down. Example- Is it $2 a bottle?

It depends on the bottle. For my Avent bottles I got 12.99 back for each 3 because that is how much a 3 pack costs. I had one separate Avent bottle and I got back 4.99 for that one bottle. I also had a Nuk bottle that I got back 4.99 for. I returned 11 bottles total and only bought 7 new ones. The Nuby's I bought were cheaper, so I used the rest of the store credit I got towards a new car seat. So at my store I didn't have to use it for bottles. Hope this helps!

No, I haven't hear of this. Store credit is store credit, you can use for anything in the store. How will they know that your store credit is only for bottles? Does not make sense to me.
When I returned my bottles for store credit I told them I had two sets of Dr. Brown's deluxe set which go for $49.99 a piece. (one I got at my shower and the other I bought) So, my store credit was $106.xx

I think mine I took back were about $5 a bottle, depending on the size. Also, how can they say you can only spend it on bottles? What if you leave and come back another day? Once they give you the gc they have no way to track it.

Does anyone know if this also applies to bottles from store brands (like Parent's Choice?)

Thanks for the head up. I just called my three local stores. Two of them require to be exchanged with BPA-free bottles only, and have to have receipt. The other said I can return max is three bottles for store credits without receipt is ok too.

Thanks for someone mention about the word "UNCOMFORTABLE", manager of one of the stores i called said "I will do it for you if you are uncomfortable of using those bottles". Who hoo...It works.

BOO! I just called my BRU (Manalapan, NJ) and after speaking to the manager for over 15 mintues, he still refused to accept the bottles, not even for an exchange... I even used the "Uncomfortable" line.. It didn't work. I guess it was worth the shot...

I have a question for those who brought back Dr Browns. Our BRU, GR Michigan, said they would even exchange them for the same bottle. I dont have the white caps, that came with the bottle under the ring and the bottle. Will they still take them? I have the clear nipple cover, nipple, ring, gasket and clear tube thing. I dont want to drive 1hr for them to say no

When I took them back they did not even count the number of bottles I had! I just told them that I had two Dr. Brown deluxe sets.
So, I really don't think they will spend the time to undue all the bottles just to see if it has the white circle part of the bottle. Hope this helps....

Parent's Choice is sold exc. by Wal-Mart so you would have to call Wal-Mart to see.

All Medela bottles are BPA free.
