I found a Schick Quattro Razor on clearance for $.75 today. I have coupons for $4 off but didn't have them with me (mistake never to be made again!) Would they adjust it to .75 off or would I get the overage off other purchases?
I don't know if these would print ECB's b/c I maxed the Schick limit yesterday (which I "made" money on anyway)
So, look out for the clearance in your store and maybe they'll print ECB's!

Great price on the razors! I think overage is very YMMV. I had some coupons on clearance items once that would have given overage, but they would not take them and they would not adjust the coupon either!

I also had a $2 q and I found them in the travel aisle for $.99. they would only put throught the $.99 so I didn't get the overage. Not sure if this just depends on the store or the cashier though.

That is so frustrating because CVS is going to send that in and get the $2 or $4 back. GRRRRR

I think that a good deal of wether or not you would get he overage depends on if the staroe has upgraded their systems to the new registers...before my stores got those in I got overage all the time, however since they got them, every time they just adjust the Q to the actual price...last week when I found the Hawaiian Tropic lip balms on clearance for $.19, and had a $2 Q, they would only allow $.38 for the $2.00 Q...it was not the cashier who made the call, she was reading it from the computer. HTH!

I can't use coupons on clearance items at a couple of my stores b/c they mark the price either w/ a tag or by writing it on the item and mark out the upc w/ a sharpie so the item doesn't scan. It the item isn't scanned, the register can't match the coupon to it. Technically, you really should still be able to use the coupon, the cashier should manually enter it, but try talking a few of my stores into that.

thanks- I figured I wouldn't get the $4 off. And that's what I was hoping since I didn't have my coupons with me anyway and there was only 1 razor on the shelf. I also saw the Freestyle meter and didn't really think twice about it until now... hmm wonder what the price is and if it will print ECB's...

now.... if you found 6 razors at .75=4.50, then they would take off the full $4 leaving you with a balance of .50- depending on your checker. As long as the total price of the items related to that coupon are over the value, it works. The registers are programed to take up to the amount of the items.
Exp.
Excedrine was 1.99, and we had $2 coupons. If you bought 3 it would total $5.97
The first coupon would scan at $2.00, the second coupon would scan for $2.00, the third coupon would scan for $1.97 (actually it would beep and tell the checker to key it in at $1.97)
Does that make sense??
