Sorry that you're going through this ordeal koledust! As everyone else has said, I would keep fighting on this, they can't just rip you off of your $170 ECBs, that's money/rewards that you've earned!! I would be livid about this too if it was me! Hope you get some better results soon and please keep us informed.

About the message that you said appeared at the end of your receipt ~ you're right, there is something screwy about CVS's computers because DH's card got the same message the other day. Luckily, I don't use his card often because I find it too confusing to juggle ECBs for 2 cards and keep things straight, so I usually just use my 1 card. But the other day, with the HT deal beckoning me, I just had to use his card to do the deal one more time, I figured I would just have the one $10 ECB on his card and can use it for necessities like milk, eggs, and such. Couldn't pass that up if they were offering free money Anyway, when the message popped up on the end of his receipt and no ECB came out, I went home and called CS to find out what was up. They told me that DHs card had been kicked out of the system due to a long period of "inactivity" and so he had to get a new one, which was not a problem since there were no ECBs on it to begin with, so I just went back to CVS to explain the situation and returned & repurchased the lip balms on a new EC card to get the $10 ECB

It is scary though to think that they may be limiting 1 card per household. Many of us have more than 1 card, and if they decided to cancel all cards except the 1, then how do we know they won't cancel the ones with the highest amount of ECBs?? Looks like the times of change are coming

I'm a bit confused at to the reason they cancelled your card. I find it hard to believe you can't find anybody higher up who can give you a reasonable explanation and/or transfer the ecb from that card to another card.

I juggle 2 cards, but I roll all of my ecb every week so I'm never sitting on a lot should they one day really recognize the 1 per household rule. I think I have less than $20 on each card. I seriously do as much of my reguar shopping there as possible, not just the ecb things.

I am so sorry this happened to you! I did want to tell you though, that they absolutely CAN override it and use your extra bucks with a different card! I had a card I had for years and years, and I lost it. I had extra bucks and they couldn't find the card by looking up my phone number, so they scanned my current card and forced the ecb's attached to the other card through. All they needed was a manager key. Worked fine and new ecb's printed just fine too. I really hope you get this all straightened out!

That was my total after all the free items... i had saved them ALL month... i was try to save them up so I could buy summer stuff... i was using some of my extra bucks... or tried on the day they expired... you can roll that many bucks with a good month... remember there where so big extra bucks things last month... well i am sick of cvs... i am calling BBB... and yah you would think cvs would take care of there customers.... but I found out they don't the hard way... now i only have 10-15 extra bucks at a time... i just don't trust them.

if you used anybody else's printed coupons or codes they may think that is coupon fraud and just plain stopping any of those

but if you've been clean cut about your business..then I would be absolutely hopping mad and want some type of explanation as the whole idea of it is to keep us coming in over and over and getting our prescriptions filled there, picking up milk..and giving us a few freebies in the meantime so we don't realize what we are spending..


P.S. it's nice to see you over here cocoadiva...ggamers have been missing you on the other boards...I was out searching for alternatives that wouldn't cost me monthly since any of the ads/coupon information isn't secret..and it irks me to pay someone else and to constantly have my posts edited...

I called corporate and specifically asked if it was okay to have more than one card per household and they told me that it was fine but they don't recommend it because then your "points" don't add up or something but she assured me it was perfectly legal to have more than one card per household.

who actually cancelled your card? was it corporate? the person who cancelled your card will be required to tell you why, there is no guessing what happened you should find out what happened and why. That is like stealing from you. What would they do if you stold from them? I am sure they would not stand by and guess why you did it.

$35-$50 is where my balances run and I get all my milk, soda, bread & snacks there.

previously, there was a case up in the East coast where a customer raked in over $9K ECBs (that's what he posted) then CVS kicked him out and banned him from all their stores (I don't know if that can even be enforced unless his picture is sent to all CVS nationwide?) the guy said he would sue CVS so he can use up his $9K worth of ECBs whether online or in-store, which he earned. this was before ECBs printed immediately on CRTs. I haven't followed up his case whether he did file a case or he just let it go.
